Title: A serious question on "rich bashing"
Post by: AUTailgatingRules on February 10, 2009, 01:07:12 AM
I watched part of the one's rally in Indiana today and I have what seems to me to be a stupid question.

I will stae it this way:

1.  He had a hall full of people that haved lived off of jobs in the RV manufacturing business
2.  Those RV's are very expensive
3.  They need a lot of rich people to buy said RV's to keep the line moving
4.  These people want to bash the very rich who are there customers
5.  They think that these rich people should be punished with higher taxes to pay for their unemployment due to fact the rich  people can no longer afford their RV's

Does anyone else find this unbelievable?

I hate to reply to my own post, but I wanted to look at this through one of the Rhodes Scholars in the audience.  During the question period there was a man who basically posed a question of whether o was going to live up to his promise of finally promoting trickle up economics.

I pose this question to this genious:

1.  The government gives every RV line worker $1,000 in a "stimulus" check
2.  That employee spends said check on a new TV and a case of beer
3.  Good for the economy for that one month
4.  Still no one out there to buy new RVs so that he can get his job back

Moral of this scenario....still unenployed and oh by the way when is my next stimulus check coming

Scenario #2

1.  Government cuts the corp tax rate to give incentive for all RV manufactures to become more competitive and need to hire more employees to sell more RVs
2.  Man gets his job back and can still buy his new TV and a case of beer
3.  By the end of the year man can save a little money and buy a new car, thus helping another union idiot to keep his job and buy an RV

Are you seeing the difference yet?

Sorta, I still find it unbelievable that people still adhere to this philosophy, but we saw it with Clinton.  They placed a huge luxury tax on yachts, guess what?  Rich people quit buying yachts and a lot of factories that built yachts went under.

It's socialism.  Uncle government will take care of you.  Trust Uncle Government.  He loves you.  Whatever you need, ask Uncle Government.

It pisses me off to think about it.  Especially since it is time to get my taxes done.  I am sure I will leave feeling great about all the bullshit spending and taking care of those that are too worthless to deserve it.  This next four years scares the ever living shit out me.

I tried those once.  They chafe unless you get the fur-lined variety.

Make sure you have the key, too.

When should I come by?  I've had a vasectomy so she won't get those octuplets, but that can be our little secret.

I get high blood pressure every time I do my taxes.  Just wait until The ONE and his socialists friends take more of our hard-earned money.

And it IS going to happen.

I usually drink more than normal after I do mine for a few days.  I came in yesterday evening and told the wife that the porkulus bill passed.  (She is a teacher so they block most sites for them) and she about dropped a plate on the floor and asked me what the hell was wrong with our elected officials.  It was kind of shitty after that and it wasn't much better this morning thinking about it.

Think nothing of it; I do it all the time...but I'm an arrogant, bitter, black-hearted, conservative, Republican who clings to his religion and guns.
