Now that I've cooled off a little (I'm still steaming pissed), the racial allegations are a bit ridiculous. Not that I think Barkley was way out of line, just that everyone else jumping all over the story was. ESPN loves a controversy like that. Where is the outrage that Syracuse didn't hire Gill? He was equally if not more of a serious candidate there all along. Why have we not heard one word about them?
One thing that's driving me nuts on the local talk radio is all the callers saying that Auburn has a lilly-white campus. That compared to other SEC schools, we have a tiny percentage of black students, and of those they're virtually all athletes. This has been said over and over again by the callers and accepted as fact by the hosts.
Where the hell is this coming from? Does this statistic actually exist anywhere? I'd like to see it because I'd be willing to bet it is false. I had tons of black friends in my days on the plains. None of them were athletes. Not one. I also knew a good number of athletes, and come to think of it, none were black.

here is a link for the state schools in Alabama.

I think the AU stat is supposed to be 8% instead of 0.8%, still the lowest in the state, you racist fucks.

yes they suck at the graphs.
-
So Alabama has 11%, we have 8%. HUGE difference.
Also, I'm more interested in the stat that supposedly around 90% of that 8% are athletes. I think that's bullshit.

Has UAT ever had a black SGA president? Just asking, as one of my close personal friends since elementary school served as Auburn's SGA president during the 2001-2002 school year, and he was black.
So we got that going for us. I fear that having a black SGA president at UAT would fuck up your Greek-influenced Machine so badly that the whole University might implode upon itself.

Is that why you openly professed your support for his WHITE opponent? I bet your wearing your Redman shirt right now, aren't you? Fucking bigot.

You are badly mistaken my friend. When did you ever pass up a free t-shirt in college?

I'd also like to see all the other SEC schools stats. I bet Vanderbilt is WAY below us. In fact, I'd be willing to be there's at least four below us.

Ole Miss- 14%, Miss State-21%, Florida 10%, UGA-6%, LSU-9%, UT-9%, UK- 6%, Vanderbilt-8%, South Carolina- 12%, Arkansas-4%, Auburn-8%, UAT-11%
Overall a pretty racist conference considering most of the African-American population is in the south.

How is it racist? Are Alabama St. and Tuskegee racist? So I guess that the SEC just lookis at the enrollment forms and throws 80% of the black applications out because they have the "Afircan-American" box checked.....BULLSHIT...
I hate how the term "racist" is used so freely all the fucking time....

You cannot list race on most college applications, if I remember correctly - granted, it has been a while, but I don't think that is actually on the application.

That was some what my point....how the fuck do you say something is racist if they are not getting judged on their "race". Isn't that what Dr. Martin Luther King fought so hard for??? For EACH individual to be judged NOT by the color of their skin, but by content of their character? So, I ask again, how is Auburn, or ANY other SEC school being racist by simply looking at enrollment numbers???

I'm just fucking with you guys

Whatever, I don't give a shit I just have nothing to do since exams ended, and you obviously don't know me. I don't believe that 90% of people should be in college. I think it is a travesty that every job requires a college degree when it would be a much more efficient system to still have apprenticeships and on the job training. But thats another post for another day.

You did imply that black people weren't smart enough to go to SEC schools that was a pretty racist comment.
