CGC was looking at Al Borges as OC at Iowa State. So, is it possible that our next OC could be our old OC?

How about we bring back Greg Knox to coach receivers - you know, for continuity.
Some of you probably think I'm kidding with this response. I'm not. Tell me exactly ONE thing that has gone right for Auburn football in 2008? Make a list of the worst case scenarios for Auburn. If we haven't gotten to ones on your list yet, don't worry. We've still got a few weeks left.
I bet we get a PLOI after Christmas. Prove I'm wrong.

The OC job is going to be the next crucial AU coaching hire, especially since we now have Another Defensive minded coach....So, who's it going to be? Al Borges? Tony Franklin? Noel Mazzone? Terry Bowden? Mike Shula?.......Gus Malzhan? Money had better not be an object when hiring the new OC.
After reading what Carlos Rogers, Bret Eddins, Joe Whitt, and others have said about Coach Chiz....I'm going to step away from the ledge until I see what kind of Coaches he brings in, what kind of recruiters they are, and what kind of team he's able to put on the field.
I've got a feeling that Auburn nabbed him before he was able to turn the Cyclones from Ames, Iowa (ZERO Resources or Facilities) around. God, I hope I'm right.

I've got a feeling Auburn nabbed him before he got tossed out on his ass.
If he'd gone and asked ISU for a raise they would have told him to go fuck himself and maybe show some leadership or win a game or two.
But we doubled his fucking salary.
I keep going back to al.com over and over and over hoping that this is some kind of nightmare and I'm going to wake up. Please, God, let me wake up. Please.

Well he did win a MNC at Texas, he's coached 3 Thorpe winners '04 - '06, he was one of the hottest assistance after the '06 season. Him going to Iowa State would be like Charlie Strong going to FIU, only worse (FIU has better facilities, more $, and a lot better recruiting area).
Let's give him a chance, if we, the AU fanbase don't, then he'll never succeed....There's nothing negative that the AU fanbase can do now, aside from eating it's own and making the situation worse than it already is.
