Post by: Snaggletiger on July 22, 2021, 07:36:16 AM: Yesterday, I came in late to an interview on Finebone. Never heard what the issue was, but it obviously had the wow factor. Then I see on the scroll all last night that Texas and Oklahoma are looking into joining the SEC. Seriously? For what reason? Thatâ€™s some out of the blue shiot. I honestly donâ€™t know how Iâ€™d feel about that. Anyone heard anything on it.

From listening to the talking heads this morning, it's going to happen in some form. Whether the SEC accepts them, or the Big 10, or ACC, these Super Conferences are coming. I imagine as soon as word of this hit, the ACC and Big 10 were both schmoozing Notre Dame to come play ball with them. If OU and Texas leave, that makes the Big 12 as irrelevant as the Sun Belt. Do they go out and get the two Arizona schools? Shit's about to change, big time.

Other than the "pod" nomenclature, I don't hate it. Except that Pod D really could go on and not affiliate with the SEC at all.

That was my first reaction, but unless we could lump UF, LSU and OM in a pod, this is about the best draw we could ask for.
