My cousin retired from AU in 2007 but is still very connected.
He was mainly in environmental science department. He started out simply sweeping floors at Auburn but by the time he retired, he was running the buffer.
He said is that it is 100% that Gus is gone.

Your guy might be well connected, and I agree that anyone who works his way up to buffer should be taken seriously. But, no way is Gus gone.
