Title: Cam's Younger Brother is a Tiger Now

Quote
Newton, who will be eligible to play immediately, enters a program with an entrenched starter already at the position. Bo Nix (https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4567218/bo-nix), the son of Auburn great Pat Nix, started every game for the Tigers last season and was named SEC Freshman of the Year.
Newton began last season at Howard (https://www.espn.com/college-football/team/_/id/47/howard-bison) as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Preseason Player of the Year. He left the team in October and announced his intention to transfer.
He won Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year as a freshman and was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore.

WOTS is he will move to WR.

Has to be helpful to have your position coach have trod the same position-switch path, no?

You got one word correct.  I'll leave it to your imagination as to which word that is.

I don’t know but it seems very well worded. That is what I was impressed with, seriously.

I also like that he used trod. Maybe it should have been, trodden? I shouldn’t second guess it because it is a nice post.

and I agree with the essence. But re: Mr Newton, we really don’t need anymore WR. But maybe he can see the field.

Can't hurt to have a Newton on the roster.

Maybe a move to receiver wouldn't be the best idea.  In about 1 1/2 years at Howard, he threw for 3,425 yards with 28 TD and 20 INT.  No, there's nothing impressive about that.  Howard was really bad while he was there, getting their collective shit pushed in about 50-14 every game.  But the reality is, we're one injury away from rolling out Cord Sandberg to run the show in the SEC West.  I'd feel a little better at least having someone on the bench with a ton of game experience at QB.

Why you gotta hate so much on baby Ryno?
Is it because he weighs 165 with rocks in his pocket?
Because he qualifies for his AARP card next year?
I just don't get it.

I'm not going to suggest that he is getting top notch WR coaching, but it can't hurt the ego in transitioning away from QB to WR if your coach did the same fucking thing.

I'm really trying to find silver linings.

And to Snags' point... He could come off the bench at QB if necessary.  Or he could be Ryan Smith v2.

I thought that our 30 year old backup looked good in the A day game and he was a 4 star out of HS. I think he’s a legit backup.

And realistically speaking, I know a shit ton more about football than anyone else on here. Jmar knew more about cornerbacks, rest his soul. But I’m the overall authority. Believe me.

Just because a turkey gets served a lot of Thanksgiving, that doesn't mean Ole' Tom is Guy Fieri or even Rachael "Cheese on a Cracker" Ray.

She done put on a freshman 40 but I’d still nibble on Rachael Ray’s cheese cracker.
