Anybody know a down and dirty, quick and inexpensive way to get SOC2 certified?
Contract essentially agreed to and they dropped "oh, state IT requires SOC 2 certification or the equivalent" at us. Our hardware is now AWS, so that's always been the answer and been sufficient. Not for this bunch.
I don't want to bail, but I don't want to drop tons of money which would end up costing me more than I'd make. Also unfortunately have a tight window.

Pretty sure Amazon services come already SOC approved.

Cant' you just hire somebody that is certified?
Or does the company have to be officially certified.

They're saying the company does.
And yes, AWS is and that's been our standard answer. Prior hosting provider was too.
This place isn't accepting that.

They’re weird then.
costs 20-50k depending on how big the operation is. And 4-8 months. Is it worth it?

I’m looking for a War Dogs solution.
