simp will appreciate this since I believe this area is some of his old stomping grounds, no? This young fella was pulled out of Lake Eufaula, about an hour up the road from here. I never saw the dimensions/weight etc. but I'd say he's big enough to do a little damage. BTW, I had a local TV station interview me week before last about an 8 foot gator in a small creek a block or two from my house. Bottom line, if there's water, there could be gators.

I guess the question was more rhetorical or maybe disbelieving.
Why kill it?

Boy, you don't no nuthin' bout no gater huntin'.
I assume this is the same gator that I read about in a recent article. In September, the State record gator for Georgia was caught/killed and measured 14.1 feet long. Lake Eufaula runs along the State lines of Alabama and Jawja and the gator was caught on the Jawja side. It's not that surprising though. Lake Eufaula is loaded with them.

Need to kill all of them north of the FL line!

Nuisance. Overpopulated. Huge threat. Just like wild hogs.

I guess I'm getting old, but one that's lived that long and grown to be that big? And it's not eating people's cows, dogs, chickens or wives? Earned a right to be there.

It’s a residential lake so the thought is that you take them out when given the chance. Same in Louisiana. They may not all become a threat but it’s just the possibility given the area and their nature. But they’re also very overpopulated.

No Corrine Brown clips/quotes.
Nary a Bobby Boucher reference.
Whither Chubbs Peterson?
Not even a "choot 'im!?!?!?" (that makes me feel dirty)
I don't know you, X.

Maybe, but you'll never know. It won't count. It's as if some cosmic force is attempting to obscure the number of times I've rearranged your plumbing. Or coated your almost-adolescent tonsils. It's just not fair that we can't share this with the world.
