Looks like the OLine shuffle will come to an end.
Tega
Horton
Dunn
Smith
Golson
That grouping committed one penalty Saturday and provided the season's best protection in both phases of the offense (they allowed one sack...on Willis in garbage time.)

While on the surface that sounds great, it was Mizzou. And they are horrible. maybe ever worse than Mercer. So just what did we determine?
I hope it works.

The pro scouts obviously will see how the film grades out on these guys, but if he's even a little bit impressive, I think Golson might have a decent career in the NeelFL. He's played all positions on the line.

Glass full...
It didn't stop them from sucking against the other two pansies we played.
Ga southern and mercer were bad too on D so those are good to compare the performance to.

But beating on weaklings allows us to feel good about ourselves plus our coach keeps his job. :aubie:

Im saying I would rather beat up on weaklings than barely skate by them. That's what were supposed to do.

They were already subbing in the second string OLine when they allowed the one sack.

Well, there ya go.

Well, there ya go.
I'm not sure if it was the complete twos on the OLine, but they had already started subbing them in at that point.

I think Prince Toga-Winnebago is going to be a good one before his career is done. Think how much he's advanced since coming in as a 250 pound DE.

That didn't last long.
After switching up the five-man unit during its SEC-opening win against Missouri, No. 13 Auburn again switched things up for its 49-10 drubbing of No. 24 Mississippi State on Saturday night. The Tigers started Austin Golson at left tackle, Mike Horton at left guard, Casey Dunn at center, Braden Smith at right guard and Darius James at right tackle.
Annnnnnnnnnnd Green subtly calls Gus a liar.
While Malzahn was guarded when asked this week about a potential starting offensive line -- on Wednesday he said a decision would be made Thursday, and then Thursday he said coaches would decide on Friday -- James said the linemen knew who would be starting after Tuesday's practice. That day, he said, offensive line coach Herb Hand delivered the news to Wanogho that he was coming out and that the more experienced Golson would be taking over at left tackle.

Gus doesn't have to say anything. I believe that will be the starting Oline going forward, barring injury. I saw Prince play in the #98 blocking TE jersey.

It's all cool. He's Facebook BFFs with Prince Winnataska. Not really real friends - he just liked a post one time on Prince's page.
