Title: Big Cat Weekend
Post by: wesfau2 on June 03, 2017, 10:21:54 AM
Happening as we speak.

247 has a list of attendees ( https://t.co/2NJt1051Cp ) and the slideshow lists each kid's candidate schools and weighs the likelihood of the player signing with a particular school.

Auburn targets:

Joseph Foucha - 3* S (100% AU)
Andres Fox - 3* WDE...whatever the fuck that is (75% AU/25% Bama)
Kolbi Fuqua - 3* ATH (Hard Commit...again, whatever that means)
Michael Harris - 4* LB (12% AU/62% Ohio St/25% raincloud...seriously)
Matthew Hill - 4* WR (100% AU)
Jalil Irvin - 3* OG (Hard Commit)
Shedrick Jackson - 3* WR (100% AU)
Tank Jenkins - 4* OT (80% AU/20% Bama)
Richard Jibunor - 4* LB (100% AU)
Asa Martin - 4* RB (18% AU/27% Bama/55% UF)
Zakoby McClain - 4* LB (75% AU/25% raincloud)
Charles McClelland - NR S (no prediction given/schools listed)
Coynis Miller - 4* DT (60% AU/40% Bama)
Daquan Newkirk - 4* DT (Hard Commit)
Tae Provens - 3* ATH (67% UTenn/33% AU)
Justyn Ross - 4* WR (75% AU/12% Bama/12% Clemson)
Kameron Stutts - 3* OT (Hard Commit)
Juanyeh Thomas - 3* CB (100% AU)

A couple of thoughts:

1) That goddamned site needs an editorial staff in the worst way.
2) There are 36 kids scheduled to attend and half of them don't have Auburn listed as a contender in their recruitment.  Seems like a lot of investment for the unlikely possibility that you flip an entire platoon of top recruits.

I don't get my recruiting info off of some silly undependable source, such as a web site. I get it first hand. I know the Prowler.

Coincidentally, of course, al.com comes out today with a piece bashing Malzahn's treatment of recruits.

Weakside DE

The list this year seems unimpressive, but I haven't followed it at all this year.

Shouldn't we recruit only strongside DEs. That way the one that does not make it on the strongside, can just move to the weakside....

We would do the same thing with weak x posters but there would be a log jam.

You said log. Not a log, I don't have a log. If I had a log not in the sense that you think I said I did. Ahhh, good golly. Tis the season to be merry

Some times your posts are hilarious and spot on.
