And you, sir were a great comedian for many years.  RIP Don Rickles.

Awesome comedic talent.  Used to love his appearances on The Tonight Show. The insults were flying left and right.  I know I posted this before but Rickles was the original pick to play Al Czervik on Caddyshack.  I think he would have pulled it off just as well as Dangerfield because smart ass insults were Rickles' bread and butter.

Without a doubt, the most sharp witted comedian ever. Hours of laughs going through his celebrity roasts with Dean Martin.

He and winters were two of the few that could have Carson rolling on the floor laughing. A dying generation indeed.

I tried to pay homage yesterday. The Russians must've intervened. But Rickles was top shelf. He was as quick as they come. Pushed the envelope even a bit too far at times for my taste. He was a true original.

He will always be remembered as The Merchant of Venom
Don't remember who called him that, but it fit.
