The ratings have been down for the NFL. Get a couple more games like today with Dallas at Pittsburgh and the ratings go back through the roof. 8 lead changes. Dallas goes ahead with a little over a minute to play when it looks like the Steelers let Ezekial Elliott score to preserve the clock. Smart move. Dallas goes FUCKING prevent defense and Pittsburgh goes 75 yards on 4 plays. The TD was scored on the infamous Dan Marino fake spike to stop the clock with Big Ben throwing a strike to Antonio Brown for the go ahead score. Wow!
Dallas and Dak get the ball back with 42 seconds left and holy shit, they go 75 for the score. Several quick passes by Prescott aided by a face mask penalty and the Boys are in field goal range. The Steelers line up to stop the run but Elliot breaks through to the end zone. Game over. Killer game.
No one saw Dak doing this but he has taken this team over. And Elliott is a freakin' beast.

Nothing personal against romo but you can't risk screwing that chemistry up now.

This is Prescott's team. If Jerry Jones (And it is absolutely JJ making the decisions) calls for Romo, this team will implode. Ever seen The Replacements?

Glad you two could have some Cowboy love.

It's not that. But you have a rookie qb rb combo leading the nfls best record. That's news. And pretty impressive.

As a Romo fan who has been made fun of more than a couple of time, I say there is absolutely NO WAY to put Romo back in at this point.
But dude is making like $20,000,000 a year for the next 4 years. That is a lot of money owed to that guy. Will be interesting to see what happens.
Oh yeah, it was reported here that Romo will be active this week as Dak's back up...that is crazy to me. I thought they would just keep him completely off the roster for the year.

As old and fragile as he is, he is still a decent qb. And a lot of teams would love to have him even if only for a couple of years to jumpstart their teams. Think Cleveland, buffalo, miami type teams. A trade may be an option with Dallas picking up half his salary for his new team. The new team gets a quality qb cheaply and Dallas gets to shave some cap.

I don't think there would be any cap space shaved in that scenario from what I understand. I could be wrong though.

Yeah I'm not sure how all that works but I thought the new team inherited the contract for the most part. Just assumed. I know he has a few good years left and would hate for it to end for him this way. He would prob make a hell of a coach one day.

Sure, if you wanted your team to suck.

His post season follies aside (that have been uber magnified), he's a field general and has a very high football iq. Think Jason Garrett but more physically gifted as a player.

It's like you guys think that coaching and playing are the same thing. Strangest damn thing today.
-
More than Jim Harbaugh and Jason Garrett.
Actually that isn't true. Harbaugh has 2 playoff wins as a starter in 95. :pwnd:

Yeah but isn't that what you are doing. You are equating him playing to equaling that he would be a good coach.
and I'm just fucking around cause he's a homo.

It's how he plays and his knowledge. Favre and manning are same way. Like having an extra coach on the field. His body limits him a lot. Always has. I think history will be kinder to him as time passes. I remember what the qbs for Dallas looked like between aikman and romo. It was a who's who of fail. It's hard to believe romo has a top 5 all time qbr. But it's true.
-
Homo Romo. How childish you are. Little childish child boy.
All that said I think Dak is their guy.

Preach! Magic Johnson sucked as a coach. So did Larry Bird.

And I don't know that romo would be a great coach. I think he would be good. It suits his personality. And if anyone has ever listened to him on the sideline or in the huddle he has a huge grasp on the game.

from the wikis (So, it's true)
In 1997, Bird accepted the position of coach of the Indiana Pacers and said he would be on the job for no more than three years. Despite having no previous coaching experience, Bird led the Pacers to a 58–24 record—the franchise's best as an NBA team at the time—in the 1997–98 season, and pushed the Bulls to seven games in the Eastern Conference finals. He was named the NBA Coach of the Year for his efforts, becoming the only man in NBA history to have won both the MVP and Coach of the Year awards. He then led the Pacers to two consecutive Central Division titles in 1999 and 2000, and a berth in the 2000 NBA Finals.

Speaking of...one of the 4th graders calling in to our local show to bitch and whine about this past Saturday asked, "How does Alabama get all these 5 star players at QB and we can't sign a half decent QB?"
Now, while there is a bit of legitimacy to the question, the fact that he used Alabama as the comparison deserved a:
You $eriou$ Clark?

Not dissing Dak because it is impressive for a rookie but a returning Romo would have the benefit of a better than average defense, one of the best offensive lines, Elliott, and that full complement of receivers running all ALONE against what has been a seriously shitty schedule save the Steelers and their sorry pass defense.
That said...the entire league aside from Dallas is flawed in some regard and NO you do not mess with the chemistry Dak has with that team even though Romo is a better QB, often injured, but better IMO.
Too many teams with sucky QBs. Maybe Romo makes one good enough to stomach watching.

I think playing Romo is a trade off you don't want. I've always liked Romo at QB. And the fact that he's been all up in Carrie Underwood's top shelf snizz, makes me pledge my eternal loyalty to the man. But, I think the only positive at this point would be a more consistent deep ball. (He was balls deep in Carrie) Maybe. Otherwise, Prescott gives you more options. He's been very accurate. He's very good in the roll outs and he definitely gives you a run option that's non-existent with Romo.

Sorry but dude is starting come off his rocker a bit. The theatrics and show is getting old. The whining. And the sniveling. Needs to grow up already.

True. And it's not even about the outfits to me. It just reminds me of what he's become.
Every time I see him interviewed or a presser I just cringe. I loved this guy but something has happened. He's not the guy he was in 2010-2012.

I'm no fan of Peter King but he was the one who wrote the story about when Cam told him he wanted to be an "entertainer." Pretty clear he's following through with that.
Maybe it's the concussions that don't happen though.

Concussed but not conscious of it maybe...yeah you might really be on to something here. Kind of like a woman having menopause and stabbing her hubby 37 times...only Cam is a male who exhibits his condition with freaky elaborate get-ups.
Good job Six!

Yeah, I'm finished with my man crush. I appreciate all that he did for us but enough is enough. This pic is funny but it's sad that he is becoming a joke.
How can anyone take a guy dressed like this serious. This looks like something Snags would wear to court.
