I've never had an issue with cops in auburn. Ever. I found them to be some of the best and most lenient I've been around.

Auburn's new police chief isn't the problem. He was brought in because he's willing to enforce what the mayor/city leaders want. If he doesn't do it, they fire him and find someone who will. It's absolutely revenue driven and it's a shitty way to treat your citizens. Too bad for that guy that he destroyed his career though. He should have just found somewhere else to work, because I can assure you that problem isn't going away until the citizens elect better city leaders.
