#2 - I don't know if I believe this. Sounds more like Trump doing what Trump does. He's making it sound like Cruz and Trump are equals except that Trump is the winner, not the loser like Cruz but Cruz is good enough to be Trump's assistant.

Of course it is. But Trump is a master at shaping the narrative.

That's not exactly the cordial way of offering someone a job.

I don't disagree. Just Trump being Trump.
He was dead on with ISIS. Scary accurate. It still would be nice to see him get into more specifics. But then again the same things were said about JFK and Reagan.

A President's job (to me) is to have a vision and a direction we need to head in based off current conditions.
Putting a LOT of smart wonky advisors and cabinet members around you are for ironing out all those details to get to that place. Which is exactly what Reagan did (Haig, Baker, Schultz, Bennett, Rollins, Laffer), and even Clinton to a lesser extent (with Carville and Morris).
