Title: Jimmy Carter got the brain cancer.
Post by: CCTAU on August 20, 2015, 10:35:15 AM
I do not ever wish to see anyone suffer from the scourge that is cancer.

But I guess that does explain all of the random idiot words coming out of his mouth the last several years!

Are we completely sure he hasn't had it for um, say...37 years?

Too soon?

He did indeed.  Happened at Twain's as I recall.  Jimmy hasn't been the same since.  Maybe his brain should come with a surgeon general's warning.

I see Carter as a very smart and caring man but an ineffective president. Bordering on disastrous presidency.

I remember the gas lines, the unemployment rate being 11% I believe at the time, high interest rates and of course the helicopters running out of fuel.

Were these things all JC's fault. Of course not. But the buck stops somewhere. He just didn't give me the feel good that Reagan did. Carter was a Naval Academy guy, successful businessman and leader but he wasn't 1/2 the pres that Ronnie was. Twice the qualifications but half the effectiveness.

Strange how that's the way it goes sometimes.
