The Tigers stumble out of the gate tonight in Columbia, going down 10-1 to the Gamecocks in game 1 of the series.
The lemonade we can squeeze out of this lemon tonight is that we faced their ace. The road will be a lot less daunting the remainder of the weekend.
We are 30-17 (10-12).

Nice. I got owned. I watched the first few innings and USCe was dominating. It was 2-0 and I just kind of resigned myself to them losing. Switched and never checked back. Great win on the road.

They trailed until the 8th and then broke out for 4 runs. Added 2 more in the 9th to seal it.
Carolina used up quite a bit of their pitching staff tonight. Outside of their ace that we faced Friday night, they're very thin. This should bode well for us tomorrow afternoon.

AU needs the rubber match to head back to the Plains with a .500 record.

Auburn takes game 3 and the series win with a 3-0 victory.
We are 32-17 (12-12).
There is no mid-week game, so next up is a visit from the updykes on Friday for the conference series.
FYI, this series win was the first we've had against South Carolina in 18 years.
