Title: So Hillary Is All In
Post by: Snaggletiger on April 13, 2015, 05:06:40 PM
Do the Repubs or anybody else have anyone who can truly step up and challenge her?  Are there any Dims that will try and make her work for it?

I am starting to dig on Scott Walker. After all he has done to beat down the libs and the unions in Wisconsin, and no one has been able to find any dirty little secrets in his closet yet, he may be untouchable. He seems pretty no bullshit too. Taking on unions is not far off from taking on ISIS in my book.  Both are terroristic organizations.  No, he did not graduate from college but I can't see where shitloads of book larnin has done Barak Obama or Joe Biden any favors.  That is not important to me.

I don't think Ted Cruz has a snowball's chance in hell of either beating Hillary or even getting the damn nomination.  Rand Paul will have the same problem.  Too out there, too beholden to the fringes of the party.

I think I'd like to see a Walker - Ryan ticket.  Paul Ryan has the wonky fiscal stuff down pat - and in 8 years, he'd be a viable top of ticket candidate.

If Hillary wins, this country will become fully communist within the first two years of her first term.

Random musings and ramblings.

At this point, I don't know who's in or out as far as Republican candidates.  We'll probably have about 15-20 before it's all said and done. IMO, unless someone steps up and takes the public interest by storm, it'll be a Hillary landslide. Told the wife that the other day and she was asking how that could be because nobody she knows backs Hillary or Obama.  I said I think we're just in one small area of this country that's overwhelmingly conservative.  Sheltered in one sense.  The Presidency has become a popularity contest and the country just loves em' some Obama and Hillary.  Policies be damned.

I've said many times how much I loathe politics.  Yes, I've always leaned to the right when it comes to the higher political offices, mainly because I always feared we'd get someone like we've had the last 7 years who is so openly for so many things I'm against.  And we're about to get 4-8 more years of the same, if not worse.  I check out the Foxnews web page every day.  Yes, I'm well aware of their agenda but that actually annoys the hell out of me because they're so over the top with it.  I normally skip over the latest, daily Democrat controversy or conspiracy and enjoy the other news and layout of their page.  But one thing you notice is that even though there seems to be a daily Hillary controversy....emails....Beghazi....foreign political contributions.....nobody gives a damn.

I believe she or Obama could rob a Brinks truck at gunpoint, get caught red handed on video and no one would blink an eye. While I certainly can't argue that the woman is not qualified for the El Presidente-ship, I think she's far dirtier than most.  Yeah, they all dirty...but she set the bar.  But NO...ONE...CARES.  Not even my firm.  I ramble on to ask, is there anyone out there that can offer any challenge?  Anyone?

I was hoping Chris Christie would be the one to step forward, but he is so muddle down in a large pack of nobody's that unless Hillary is seen killing puppies the MSM will just overlook whatever she does.

When did socialism/communism become so popular? Where are our shining positive examples of success? Why are we ashamed of the things that made our country so damn great?

I just don't understand.

Is Gwyneth Paltrow Wrong About Everything?: When Celebrity Culture and Science Clash - Timothy Caulfield

I read a piece on this book yesterday and I believe I'll pick it up.  It talks about all the products, fads, diets etc. that celebrities pimp and how we as society eat it all up and accept it as fact.  Apparently, Caulfield tries a lot of those same diets and fads for himself and debunks a lot of what society has come to believe based on what the A-listers tell us.

This extends to the political arena as well. Some can see through the BS that's spewed from people who are so far removed from the real world, it's pathetic.  But most cannot.  Oprah is a goddess.  She gives away cars. She interviews the important people.  If she says Obama is where it's at....then that's good enough for me.

Scott Walker is going to be the (R) nominee.

When he took on the unions in Wisconsin and won, I knew he was truly as clean a candidate as there would ever be.  If those mafia backed bastards can't find dirt or scandal in your past, or can't find a way to fabricate any, then there really isn't any there.

His lack of a 4 year degree doesn't bother me at all.  He is obviously smart and successful.  Considering that 58% of Americans have no more than a 2 year degree or none at all, that shouldn't do anything but improve his cred with folks.

He was at a Republican meet and greet on Capitol Hill yesterday, which apparently went very well, with a lot of the party members showing signs of giving him the nod once he formally announces, which should come soon.

I know I have not seen anything that makes me wrinkle up my nose.  He admits that he doesn't have major international experience, but I trust him to be smart enough to find folks like Mitt Romney that do have international experience to support him.

So unless he says or does something unbelievably stupid, he's your man.

Okay, so far what I could find is:

Declared:

Ted Cruz
Rand Paul
Marco Rubio
Ben Carson
Carly Fiorina
Mike Huckabee

Will Most Likely Announce:

Jeb Bush
Scott Walker
Chris Christie
Rick Santorum
Rick Perry
Lindsey Graham
Bobby Jindal

Is Officially O-U-T:

Mitt Evander Romneyfield

Way too many and I fear they will all cancel each other out.  No chance for anyone to separate themselves.  Hillary has one no name opponent.

And what really pisses me off..  Every damn thing that man said that would come to pass with regards to the middle east has happened.  And it was laughed off by the MSM, and the CIC.

My money is on the fact that he will be worse than Carter after he leaves office. He will always be lamenting how great things were when he was in and how the dems always care about the "middle class" and I would not put it past him to mention he should have had a 3rd term.

Walker is the best all around candidate. Like tw said, the dude has walked the walk. The shit he is saying isn't just in theory. He has practiced what he is preaching and it's worked out pretty well. I personally like Rand Paul's libertarian streak. And who doesn't like or respect Ben Carson and his amazing story. Guy is the epitome of the American dream. My only issue with Walker is that he does near the bottom of all the candidates against Hillary in swing states. That's a little troubling to me.

You can start getting ready for stalags and re-education camps (those already exist on your TV) if Hellary is elected.

We're done.  We won't leave a thing to our children and grandchildren.

The dems have a decent candidate running (Webb). They just won't give him any air time or coverage. Dude is a centrist Kennedy democrat (as opposed to the hard left turn the party has taken), former Reagan cabinet member, Vietnam war hero, former Senator. I like him. Seems like a decent guy. He's shit tons better than anything else they have on that side. But nothing. No coverage. No nothing.

Had he thrown his medals over the White House fence or negotiated surrender with the North Vietnamese, he'd be the talk of the town .... or the Secretary of State.
