Consider, though, that this jump was made in 1977, back when water was a lot harder. Here's the guy today (in black). He's still flinging himself off tall things into water.

I wouldn't really call that a dive. It was more like a glorified "JUMP". Now if he were to tape up that head and go in head first, I think that 7.5 would be at least an 8.
