They want your stories.
ESPN is doing a 30 for 30 on the 2013 season. Got an email yesterday asking for fan stories. Anybody else get something similar?
-
How'd you get this email?
Is it specifically about Auburn football's 13 season or just 2013 in sports in general?
-
Somebody came on the Scout site ans asked for stories as well. Hopefully it will be done with no mention of Cam and his $180K or the felony five, but I'm not holding my breath.
-
This is what I got.
ESPN is producing a documentary for the SEC Storied series focused on Auburn’s historic 2013 football season.
The film’s producer and director (who were also behind ESPN SEC Storied “The Book of Manningâ€) are looking for Auburn fans who have unique stories related to the 2013 season.
Some of the ideas they’re interested in include, but aren’t limited to:
• Babies born during games
• A unique memory with the Toomer’s Corner Oaks
• A marriage proposal during a game
• Individuals who were in YouTube reaction videos from the Georgia game or Iron Bowl
• A unique story about taking a friend or child to a game for the first time
• Something funny or unexpected
Be sure to include:
• What did the 2013 season mean to you?
• Why is your story special?
• How did the disappointing 2012 season affect you?
To share your perspective and have the opportunity to be included in the ESPN film, send your story (500 words or less) to auburnmovie@gmail.com or share via our special “ESPN Storied†tab on Facebook. You could be selected to appear in the film!

Good point...
Weird that I'm not seeing anything about this from ESPN, only on message boards...
-
Yeah. I don't think espn would be using a gmail account. My suspicion is that it has something to do with the gays.

I seriously doubt it originated from this site.

Last time I saw Ponch on the tv, he was a old folks insurance policy barker. I guess that fell through for him, too. The only things left for him to do is B rated porn and sticking a revolver in his mouth.

I don't think you know how porn works.

I'm a career Navy man. I've seen things on film that would make most men give up on porn.

8mm and Beta Max, right?
(not film, those were VV and Chizzad's porn names, respectively)

And seen in person, too, I would imagine.

I have been to the Great Wall of China, I have seen the Pyramids of Egypt, I've even witnessed a grown man satisfy a camel. But never in all my years have I witnessed something as improbable, as impossible, as what we've just witnessed.

Back on point, the opening voice over for this would probably be:
"What if I told you a Defensive Back would be the best Quarterback in the SEC West that year? What if I told you a high school, gimmick offense would lead the nation in rushing? What if I told you that luck is always on the side of championship teams? ESPN 30 for 30 presents, Rising Tigers, the story of the 2013 Auburn football season."

Have you ever seen a man eat his own face?

Totally understand why one would be hesitant to buy the gmail address, but it may NOT be a hoax. If I remember correctly you have independent directors of each 30 for 30, likely funded by ESPN but not actually directed/produced by ESPN themselves. So basically this could be a gmail account set up by the director or staff assisting him on the film.
