The Tigers drop game 1 of the series to the #2 ranked Commodores, 5-2. The loss drops us to 13-4 (0-1).

Vandy had a perfect game going until the bottom of the 6th, when their pitcher walked our batter. We didn't get a base hit until the 7th.

Damn that sucks, but considering they are #2 and we only lost 5-2 doesn't make me want to kick puppies.

Tigers take one on the chin in game 2...Vandy wins 8-1.  VU pitcher Beede goes 6-2/3 and only allows 2 hits.

Very solid pitching with these Commodores - the best rotation in the league.

The Tigers put up a valiant fight in game 3, but fall short, 8-6. The loss drops us to 13-6 (0-3).

We have non-conference games scheduled for Tuesday & Wednesday, before heading to Red Stick to take on the #3 ranked Corndogs. It's a brutal start to conference play, but hopefully will toughen us up for later on in the season.

I had my hopes up for 1 of the 3. The Dores are the real, real deal. We gave them a decent showing and we have lots of room to improve. This can still be good team.
