MC Hammer arrested in officer obstruction
Rapper MC Hammer launched a string of tweets Saturday with his side of the story two days after he was arrested in northern California for allegedly obstructing an officer.
Among his tweets, Hammer said, apparently referring to the arresting officer, that he was asked whether he was on parole or probation before the man tried to pull him out of his vehicle Thursday night.
Police in Dublin, east of Oakland, said Hammer was in a vehicle with expired registration and he was not the registered owner.
"After asking Hammer who the registered owner was he became very argumentative and refused to answer the officer's questions," police spokesman Herb Walters wrote Saturday evening in an e-mail to CNN.

I refuse to answer any officer's questions either. I have a right to an attorney even during a traffic stop. And I use those rights. I don't give them shit except my attorney's card.

You should probably exercise your right to an attorney and ask him what's going to happen when you refuse to answer questions and offer his card when you are asked for a license and proof of insurance.
Fucking dumbass.

You gotta be a fucking brown shirt yourself??? Cocky MFs.
By law, I don't answer anything they ask. And that little ole gun LOL, Bwahaha. I got something for that. They won't even be able to get near my fucking truck to ask anything.
The Active Denial System in my tool box prevents that shit. Bulletproof glass and windows. Armored body, damn thing gets turrible gas mileage, but I don't have to worry able peon brown shirts.
Oh, and I don't use an alarm system in my truck either. This replaces that.
Also known as the "pain beam," ADS is a revolutionary non-lethal weapon that uses microwaves to cause burning pain without injury. The 95-GHz waves only penetrate a fraction of an inch, heating the outer surface of the target's skin. According to the Air Force, nobody can tolerate the beam for more than five seconds, and improvised protection such as wrapping yourself in wet towels or tin foil is useless.
There have been repeated calls for ADS to be deployed in Iraq, but the military is bogged down in reviews of the technology. However, now that ADS exists, the pain beam's manufacturer is exploring domestic U.S. uses, like industrial- and home-security systems. The Department of Energy is looking at employing the technology to protect America's nuclear stockpile. Meanwhile, some U.S. law enforcement officials are eager to get their hands on the pain weapon, and the Department of Justice is funding a multimillion-dollar research project to give it to them.

Sure. You have the right to not answer any question. You also have the right to face the consequence of said action. Just as with any other right or freedom. It's not a free for all you looney anarchist.

Freedom is government-given while liberty is God-given says this US Army veteran. I know my rights and choose to exercise them. You don't have to if don't wish to because it's a personal decision.

When they ask to search your vehicle you have the right to say no. Then they have the right to call in the drug dog. And when he "indicates" they have the right to search your truck without a warrant. And you can try to stand on your right to refuse, but then you get the Hank Williams Jr attitude adjustment.
"Now sticks to the head and kicks to the shin
And several bites by Rin Tin Tin
And I couldn't wait to get into that jail."

 Only if they suspect anything illegal like drugs, they have to have warrant otherwise. At which time, I usually call the DA, who is personal friend of mine. She knows me, and knows I don't put up with young cop's bullshit. If it's the state highway patrol, I usually call Bonner. It doesn't go far at all. The active denial system is mainly there for criminals. My cousin has worked for both Bonner and Callahan, she still works for Bonner. I grew up with Sonny's kids and took them on many fishing trips. Another personal friend of mine.
Anything else from the peons here?
Nap time.

Hence the drug dog and the fact that he "indicates".

Exactly. Especially since I haven't broken any laws. The aftermath would be hard on you. I live on a prominent street in Mobile with one next door neighbor being an attorney for the University of South Alabama and on then other side two assistant DAs for Mobile. I take care of my neighbors and they love me.

There are several people who "know" the DA. He is an elected official. That means shit!
ALA CODE § 32-6-9 : Alabama Code - Section 32-6-9: POSSESSION AND DISPLAY OF LICENSE
Every licensee shall have his license in his immediate possession at all times when driving a motor vehicle and shall display the same, upon demand of a judge of any court, a peace officer or a state trooper. He don't have to show no crooked cop his drivers license! His rights say so!!

Unless you are having a sexually inappropriate relationship with the district attorneys children (all the while posting pictures of one of the ugliest women I've ever seen on the internet to throw everyone off the pedophilia trail), I don't think you are safe if you fail to provide a driver's license on a traffic stop. Unless of course your left rear tire is made from the same components found in a uranium bomb. Then you could just blow the officer away, have a robotic arm-like device replace your recently activated bomb tire and be on your way.
-
Here is the thing, I have never had to even answer the question of a cop asking to search my vehicle because I have never been suspected of anything. If they did suspect something and asked me, I would probably let them because I have nothing to hide that is illegal. If I was speeding and they caught me, I give them my license and let them write me a ticket because I was in the wrong.
I don't see what the fucking big deal is...

There you go, same here. I don't give them a reason to stop me in the first place. I'm just talking shit anyway Homerz.
Got a Dell N5050 i3 laptop for less than half price about 30 minutes ago. (one year old $175 cashit). Gonna give it to one of animal rescue friends. I thought about giving to one of the players to show off, but Little Nicky said no. You believe that shit? A bammer turning down a free laptop.

Because you are a normal functioning member of society. Hell, I haven't even wrote a ticket in about a year. Normally it is a "slow it down, be safe, have a nice day". Unless you refuse to provide a drivers license. Then you go to jail. If you still refuse to provide any type of personal information, you might be detained for homeland security to verify your citizenship. And they aren't quick.

I don't consider myself a violent person but if it gets down to the brass staples, I can handle myself against the toughest copper. I don't need uranium bombs or a robotic arm. Mental telepathy gets the bitches every time. I can pick a 250 pound doughnut eater up and sling him against his patrol car without even laying a finger on him.

WTF do linoleum and Cisco routers have to do with breaking the law? Not to mention traffic cops not doing their jobs because they are busy shopping at Walmarks on the city's dime.

Implied consent. Every time I get pulled over I get out of my car and start running...Just for fun.

It's apparent you don't operate on Redstone Arsenal ($80 ticket for 30 in a 25) or Atlanta ($185 for cutting through the hashed out area between the on ramp and the interstate) or Auburn in the late '90's ($90 for 55 in a 45) or in Grove Hill, AL in the early '90's (76 in a 55, Don't remember how much that one was, I just know that I got grounded for a good long time. Luckily I did know the DA, got to go to driving school so this 16 year old's insurance didn't triple).

Damn that's low. $162 and change for failure to signal in Mobile. They have a nice little extortion racket going all over the state though.

I gave him A driver's license, registration and proof of insurance as the LAW DICTATES.
I then handed him a copy of my college degree, and that's when all the trouble started.

I smell police brutality
I knew a cop once, we were real close. He died as a Mobile County sheriff's narcotics officer around 1975. He and his partner were ambushed near Big Creek lake chasing down two scumbags with marijuana possession. My cousin emptied his pistol killing one of the fuckers after he had been shot with buck shot. He died and the wax job on his face was terrible. Morticians back then had no imagination. Sheriff Tom Purvis and he didn't see eye to eye, so Purvis wasn't too upset. David Beck was my second cousin and a real badass in high school. Robert Stolz was his partner and neither survived. They made the mistake of not waiting on backup and it costs them both their lives and affected the rest of my family in a big way. Especially me because I idolized the man.
I have nothing but respect for law enforcement, due to this and other factors, and always help in anyway I can. It's kind of fun helping out with busts. It's exciting. David taught me quite a bit about respect for law enforcement and the job responsibilities that I almost when into law enforcement just so I could help others when they could not help themselves. It's a rewarding career and those in the uniform will always have my utmost respect and cooperation. I don't share this with many people but I have actually aided in capture of thieves.
