Next up in the chicken bowl. Hope Les doesn't try to eat any field turf.

I think LSU beats the shit out of Clemson by halftime.

So far, you're prediction looks solid. Climpsum turns ball over on first set of downs, LSU scores in just a couple of plays, 7-0.
-
7-7 now. Clemson put together a pretty good drive. I still stand by my prediction though. LSU will adjust, and Clemson will sputter a bit when they get out of the scripted stuff.

I don't know. Mettenberger (sp?) looks horrible, and the LSU OL does too. Mettenberger just took a sack with only 2 rushing and 9 dropping in coverage.
-
Clemson's DL is owning LSU's OL right now. What is that, 3 or 4 sacks already in the 1st quarter?
-
Did LSU swap Tackles with Auburn before the game?
-
14-13, LSU leads at the half. Clemson is playing with their hair on fire, and LSU looks like they just can't shake off the rust. LSU is going to have to figure out how to deal with Clemson's front 7 if they want to win this.

It's actually a fairly sloppy game overall, but yeah Clemson is hanging tougher than I thunk. Mingo is a monster, and it seems every time he slants inside the T lets him go thinking the G will pick him up, and he comes free. He'll kill someone if they don't do something about that.
-
First play of the half, LSU breaks off a 57 yard run for a TD. 21-13 LSU.
-
Clempsum cuts the lead to 2 with just over 2 minutes left, and Les goes 3 and out with 3 pass plays, 2 incompletes, leaving Dabo with a minute and half and 3 TOs to get in FG range for the win. What a fucking moron.
-
Taj Boyd took a beating, but played out of his mind, and Les fucked up enough to let the fighting Dabos win 25-24 on a last second FG.
-
Classic Les Miles meltdown. LSU looked unprepared from kickoff to :00. I'm not sure what his procedure is for bowl game preparation, but it needs adjusting. I would give it a few days before returning to Baton Rouge. I'm scared to check Tiger Droppings.

LSU fans aren't happy...

Here's a glimpse:
After LSU gets the turnover on Clemson's 1st possession
DSCrawfish: Game over. LOL
RonFNSwanson: Rout is on bitches Gueax Tigers
Then it was pretty much all down hill from there. Most of them probably wouldn't mind it if Coach Miles jumps to the NFL, they definitely want a new OC.

It's a moot point until Miles learns to use a little fucking common sense. 2nd and 2, and you're not going to try to pound that out? Lulz. Even if you don't get the 1st, you are going to run the clock, or you force Clemson to use timeouts. It isn't rocket science. It isn't even that difficult of a decision to make real time. As a HC, you need to have the sense to either make the call yourself to run it in the first place in that situation, or veto the OC when he dials up passing plays.
On the other hand, if Mettenberger didn't go full retard and could hit a wide open receiver 7 yards away, we're not having this conversation. If Eric Reid could turn around and look for a ball, we're not having this conversation. If Chavis doesn't pull out the defensive plan used against Alabama in the final drive, we're not having this conversation. All symptoms of a root problem, IMO. I think that Les has lost his magic. He's going to win just enough games on a yearly basis to not get fired, but choke in the games that matter.

Problem with a new OC is that I'm fairly certain that Les meddles way too much in the offense, which is why it sucks ass.

I think that it's more than just the offense too; that's just where it is most apparent. When your number of punts in a game equals number of first downs, there is a big problem. Either he is just too stupid, or just too stubborn to learn from his mistakes. I think that is what is so weird about the whole thing.
For example, LSU killed Alabama with the option in 2011. It was an apparent hole in the defense. Since then, I don't think that any team has gained more than a few yards with it. Saban is too much of a dickhole to let that slide since it has been exploited. When one team burns Alabama with a particular play, you're probably not going to see any teams after that have much success with it. Not LSU, though. You can beat them over the head with it time and time again.
During the bowl season, I want every SEC team to win. I'm not an LSU fan, but as a football fan, it is simply frustrating watching LSU. At this point, I think that James Franklin is a better game day coach than Miles. The comparison alone is almost insulting to Franklin.

He's a buffoon. Can't see how the corndogs can fire him though, not with his record.

That's what would make me so mad if I were an LSU fan. Don't get me wrong. 10 and 11 win seasons are great. Losing a close hard fought game that one team just simply had to lose is OK. I would have been perfectly OK with Alabama losing to UGA in the end the way that game turned out. It just seems that the past 2-3 years LSU wins some games despite the coaches, and lose some games because of coaches. Some of the players are to blame to some extent as well, but the coach has to put them in the best position to execute as well. That reflects prep, play selection, etc. Last night was a mixed bag, but in the end, Miles lost it when they were in a position to run out the clock.

It's like his thought process was: "I've lost a couple of games the last couple of years due to being ultra conservative, so I'll show Dabo. Now that it's time to be conservative, I'm a gonna throw the ball, that will make his head spin! Hee, hee, hee, derp!"

Let's not forget the derp moment right before halftime. I can get behind the logic of calling a timeout at 15 seconds, which would force Clemson to punt. LSU has the ability to run it back for a TD. Solid decision. So, why are you going to wait until 5 seconds left, and THEN call a timeout? Because you're Les Miles, and you can't count. That's why. You called a timeout so they can throw a hail mary. As honey badger would say: "Thanks, stupid!"

A monkey could win 8 games coaching that talent. Not a chizik, but at least a monkey.

You have always had a hatred for monkeys, just admit it!

Actually I think Chizik could do at leas as good as Les with Les' developed talent.
