My Project Manager is a Okie State Grad, and he'll confirm your first statement. Says the AD and Gundy have bad blood, that the AD won't let Gundy have any say in the out of conference scheduling.

2:10PM EST December 4. 2012 - Arkansas is close to hiring a coach, but it's not Mike Gundy.
A person familiar with the search process who asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the subject said the school is nearing an announcement but said, contrary to reports by Rivals.com and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, it is not Gundy. The person would not identify the prospective hire.
Arkansas did not retain interim coach John L. Smith after finishing 4-8 this season. Smith had replaced Bobby Petrino, who was fired last April amid scandal.
Gundy, in his eighth season as Oklahoma State's head coach, has been linked to the opening at Tennessee as well as at Arkansas.
