Title: Finebaum no longer on WJOX?
Post by: Kaos on July 24, 2008, 04:33:29 PM
I'm not in an area that picks up WJOX any more so most days I'm spared the Jay Barker puke-fest in the morning and Finebama in the afternoon.  Or am I?

Somebody mentioned in passing that Finebaum was booted from JOX.  True?

I actually had a meeting with citadel B. this morning and the are moving JOX from 100.5 to 94.5.  (already in the process)  F....... is not going anywhere to my knowledge!

Okay.  Maybe that was the impetus of their comment.  WJOX was no longer on 100.5.

What's the motive for the move up the dial?

Stronger signal and larger listening area.

They are adding a different music channel for 100.5...they told me this morning that it will not be country, classic rock, r and b, or top 40.  I kind of got the hint maybe Jack johnson, john mayer, DMB, type stuff based on the demographics they are trying to reach.  Not really sure though.

 :puke:

Birmingham desperately needs something like TK101 from Mobile or Pirate from PCB

Disturbed, Korn, Metallica, KISS, Nirvana, AC/DC, Avenged, System of a Down, Breaking Benjamin, etc.

The closest we have to that is 105.5 The Vulcan.  They play some decent stuff most of the time.

I enjoy listening to 105.5, but Tk101 is the shit.

We can't road trip together.  Or, if we do, I get to pick the music.

I would have let Kiss and Avenged Sevenfold stay on that list, but other than that I was thinking the same thing.

Breaking Benjamin is the poster child for bland generic croner drivel shit that is killing rock music. They and Nickleback are in a race to destroy rock like we were in a race with the USSR to land on the moon. I call this type of music Jason-Rock after my friend that likes this kind of garbage.

Edit: Also, I can't act like I didn't like KoRn for their first three albums. It's just they fell off, hard.

I'm only interested if she's rocking cocks in a couple of years.
