Title: And Now for Something Completely Different
Post by: jmar on October 08, 2012, 07:45:23 AM
This guy might be considered strange to many but he can get results. Discuss...

I'd take him.  Definitely before Petrino.

Mike Leach? Fuck No!

Mike Leach? Fuck No!
In a Mike Leach, I think we might get quicker, impactful, no-nonsense results with the talent we currently have. Otherwise we get a rebuilding project for God knows how long.
Like most of us, I want to win now and I truly don't give a running shit about anybody's fucking legacy.

If Mike Leach is the alternative I think we should just hold on to what we got.  Holy god.

You think he's that bad?

Texas Tech fielded some good teams.  I mean, if we're throwing our hands up and saying we can't compete at an SEC level, I'm all for him.

Nope, do not want.

I want Defense and if we bring him in, then our D stays shitty.

Agreed.

Compounding his bat-shit craziness and failure to field a defense is that animosity that ESPN has towards the guy.  We don't need another orchestrated smear campaign.

He's a damn good football coach, but they're right he doesn't care about defense, or running the ball, and he's weird.  Not a good fit for Auburn on many levels.

What part of the talent that we currently have makes you think we are prepared to throw the ball 50 times a game?

I'd take Petrino in a heartbeat...with the caveat that he has to keep VG and WM.

Petrino IMO the best play caller in the game. Hell the NY Giants HC even said so. I like the idea of keeping BVG too. Martinez has the DBs ballin', gotta remember they are also making up for our shoddy LB play.

Damn we get Malzahn and Leach at JH next season. Hope we can put up a couple of TDs by then.
