Tarence Farmer, WR, is apparently leaving the team.

I just don't understand what the big deal is.  He didn't play a big part in our plans last year, and he didn't figure into the plans for this year either.

There, I saved Dick Sabban a press conference.

A question for those who understand APR rankings:

How do all these defections/dismissals affect UAT's APR ranking?  Are they approaching the danger zone?

"We had to make room for Julio's number of touches anyway"

There. Saved some people time typing.

I think it somewhat depends on their GPA when they left.  If I remember correctly, they will take a ding anyway for transfers, dismissals, etc. but it will be an even larger ding if their grades were in bad shape when they left.

I hope they lose everyone but Wilson, JJ and Andre'.

They'd still be convinced they could hang 40 on LSU.

WR Woodson is the latest casualty.  He's on his way to South AL.

5 years later...still rings true.

I don't know for sure what he did, but he had been suspended since before spring drills, which is why he didn't participate.  Supposedly he was missing classes and just not giving a fuck in general, but I don't know if that is true or not.  TideSports reported a few weeks ago that he was gone, they just didn't know where to at the time.

I think it's around 3.25% but I'm sure they get much better through the REC.

But seriously, apparently the processing doesn't negatively impact this OR Saban doesn't care. I wonder if the medicals are still figured into the equation. I believe they lead the NCAA in those. This is one thing about him I actually admire. He finds a way to make it work and nobody gives a damn. Offer a kid, he doesn't work out, send his ass to Saddlehill Tech Institue in Walla Walla, Wa. Or, give him a med scholly and let him stay at Bama. If the NCAA allows it, it's a huge advantage to him. It's like getting to test drive a car for a year or two.

QB Phillip Ely...Processed

QB Phillip Ely...Processed

Not sticking up for him or anything Lord Saybinz does.  But this is becoming more the norm, to transfer out for a chance at more playing time.  The Tahd $igned two highly rated QB's this year, including Cooper Bateman.  Plus, Ely is going to Toledo, in a league where he'll get to throw it about 68/100 or 75% of the time.

The fact that he wasn't even 3rd in the rotation at this point is telling enough.  He knew that he was never going to see the field.  This leaves Alabama with 5 scholarship QBs, and one walk-on.

So Alabama rolls 5.5 deep?
