Phil Neel, creator the greatest mascot in all of college athletics, passed away today.

Had the good fortune of growing up and knowing Phil for many years from church here near Bham.  Very humble, very classy God-fearing gentleman.  Auburn man in every sense.

Got a calendar hanging up in the office right now of old Phil Neel program covers.  Absolutely the #1 mascot of all time.
