A 21-year-old Morgan State University student told investigators that he ate the heart and portions of the brain of a man whose dismembered remains were found in his Joppa home, according to a grisly account from the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
The arrest of Alexander Kinyua came almost a week after Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, went missing, and followed a search of the home the two men apparently shared in the 500 block of Terrapin Terrace in Joppatowne early Wednesday morning, police said.

Late Tuesday night, Antony Kinyua, notified police that his son, Kinyua's brother, had found what they believed were human remains in the basement of the house, according to charging documents. Upon their arrival, Jarrod Kinyua told police he found a human head and two human hands inside metal tins, under a blanket in the laundry room.

With a search and seizure warrant for the location, deputies were able to locate the head and hands on the main floor of the house, according to charging documents. They also interviewed Alexander Kinyua, who allegedly admitted that he had killed Agyei-Kodie by cutting him up with a knife and afterward, ingested his heart and portions of his brain.
Kinyua also directed police to Towne Baptist Church, in the 500 block of Trimble Road, to find the rest of the remains, which were found in a Dumpster on the property, according to charging documents.

Adding fuel to the fire is the bizarre case of Wayne Carter. The New Jersey man allegedly cut out his intestines and then threw them at the police on Sunday.
The gruesome scene played out at Carter’s Hackensack, N.J., home, after Police were called to the scene based on reports that the 43-year old man was barricaded in his room with a knife and planning on harming himself, according to the local NBC station.
The cops kicked in the door and ordered Carter to drop the knife. Ignoring the officers’ orders, Carter allegedly began stabbing himself in the abdomen, neck and legs instead. Attempts to subdue him with pepper spray did nothing but seem to enrage him.
That’s when officers say Carter began throwing pieces of his skin and entrails at the cops. Wisely, the police retreated.
The police called in the Bergen County SWAT team, who were able to eventually subdue Carter and get him to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition. No charges have been filed because of the unusual nature of the case, according to NBC New York.

Louisiana Man Under Influence of ‘Some Kind of Drug’ Bit Off Part of Neighbor’s Face

A 43-year-old man from Lousiana's Lafayette Parish was arrested over the weekend for attacking an acquaintance in a manner eerily reminicent of the "Miami Zombie" incident that took place last month.
According to local police, Carl Jacquneaux arrived at the Scott home of Todd Credeur and began assaulting him "over a domestic issue." During the scuffle, Jacquneaux allegedly bit off "a chunk" of Credeur's face. The latter managed to prevent the former from doing further damage by spraying him in the face with wasp spray.
Officers caught up with Jacquneaux in Carencro, at the home of another acquaintance whom he was holding hostage. Jacquneaux had in his possession a knife and a stolen gun. "Very unusual, it's not something we see everyday," said Scott Assistant Police Chief Kert Thomas.
Sheriff's deputies believe Jacquneaux was "under the influence of some kind of drug" at the time of the attack, and a friend of Credeur said that drug was bath salts — the same substance linked to the now-infamous Miami attack.
Jacquneaux was booked into Lafayette Parish Jail on multiple charges of battery and burglary, as well as violation of probation. Credeur was treated in hospital and then released to recover at home.

Rudy Eugene—the Florida man who was suspected to be high on "bath salts" last month when he was shot and killed by police after refusing to stop chewing a homeless man's face—was not on "bath salts" after all.
According to the Miami-Dade County medical examiner's office, toxicology tests performed on Eugene found marijuana in his system, but no street drugs, prescription drugs or alcohol. Eugene also tested negative for adulterants commonly mixed with street drugs.

A man who was high on synthetic marijuana reportedly ate his family dog alive. Just as the "zombie apocalypse" hysteria began to subside, another man in a psychotic meltdown makes national news.
Michael Daniel, a Texas man from Waco, was arrested for eating his family's nearly 40-pound pooch, on Monday. He faces felony animal cruelty charges, according to police.
Daniel allegedly was "on his hands and knees and chased a neighbor while barking and growling like a dog," according to KWTZ.
After his deranged behavior frightened his neighbors, he turned to his black dog that was sitting on the porch and beat and strangled the dog. When he had sufficiently injured the pup, Daniel began to eat him.
Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton told KWTZ that he "began to bite into the dog, ripping pieces of his flesh away."
By the time officers arrived at the scene Daniel had "blood and fur around his mouth," Swanton explained to KXXV.
He allegedly pleaded with officers for them to use a stun gun on him so he could get off his "bad trip."
Officer Swanson explained that the police did not fight or stun Daniel, but instead they took the blood-drenched man to the hospital, according to the Daily News.
The dog did not survive the brutal attack, KAIT reported.
Daniel explained to his neighbors that he was high on synthetic marijuana, sometimes called K-2, or Spice.
The psychoactive drug can actually be bought legally. It's made up of natural herbs and then sprayed with chemicals. The drug gives the user a quick high, but it often triggers paranoia and anxiety.
In Daniel's case, it made him psychotic enough to devour his dog.
