I know some of you might tell me welcome to 1982...but I've just recently been catching this series on PBS. Have no clue how old it is. Just ran across it. They've colorized all the old black and white film from WWII and made a documentary. It focuses equally on the way things were for our soldiers abroad and the families at home. One of the best documentaries on the war I've ever seen. Anyone see this?

Welcome to 1982. I have not seen this, I may have to see if it's available for purchase from PBS.

I like the focus on what was going on back in the States and they read a lot of actual letters written from home and from the soldiers. It really puts you in that time period.

I have Vietnam in HD recorded, but I haven't seen it yet either. It isn't quiet like that, but a lot of talk from the guys that was there. I would be interested in seeing some of the WWII stuff. I have read countless books and seen some of the things about what was going on in the states, but few and far between.

I saw on History Channel Sunday where they are showing these little segments of Vietnam Vets showing the home movies they took over there that havent been seen by their kids or anyone but them. It spawned out of the Nam in HD thing. I think it was called History Film Corps or something. Anyway, real cool stuff. My dad brought back pics from over there but never took any video. Got to love the Super 8 video footage. Thing was high tech back then.

Funny pic, but you can see the irony in it if you look close. Makes me hate Stephen A. even more.

This, and a new Vietnam in HD series that has been on have held my interests as well. The Vietnam in HD has guys from in the shit talking about experiences there, and in coming home. Great video too.
