Title: Tax day....

is not today.  Apparently unbeknownst to me today is emancipation day and all of D.C. is closed down.  Tomorrow is when uncle Barry gets his.

I've never heard of emancipation day.  Apparently it didn't get much play down here.

I think that the State of Georgia may have a little difference of opinion with FedGov; Georgia taxes are still due today if I'm not mistaken.

You must file quarterly or have absolutely zero withholding.

I pay out the ass during the year (over pay) so I usually get a small amount back if anything. I hardly every owe because they get me from Jan - Dec.

Don't get me started...  We have tons of wiffholding.  Our employers used the gubm'et wiffholding tables published by the morons at the IRS.  It just wasn't enough.  We got screwed from multiple directions by all of these social engineering schemes in the tax code.
