I like seeing the 3 step/quick passing game in this offense.

From reading several articles and quotes from those that attended this scrimmage, they say Frazier looks
"light years" ahead of the other QB's.

I've been really impressed with his ability to learn the new 36 play - "36 throw it quick."

He'd better, thats a cornerstone play of the Malzahn offense.

Thanks!  Whether it is by default, or was the secret plan all along, it seems that one week in, Frazier is de facto, the guy right now, and every day Moseley can't throw, he get's farther and farther behind.

You're welcome. I was thinking that this was gonna hurt Moseley with his hurt shoulder and all but not as
much as it apparently is. It seems Frazier has progressed a lot since last year. I find some hope in that and matches the feelings I get when seeing his mechanics in all the other videos that have been posted. I actually think Auburn has themselves a baller and a student at QB. Oddly enough, I have to give Lefty more credit for that than Malzahn although I do like Malzahn. Also, with only a few comments on Prosch, Prosch is gonna be a star of Alstott level. Then there is Coates and Frost. Dude, for real, I am having some good feelings about this Auburn team.

Dude, for real, I am having some good feelings about this Auburn team.

I didn't realize how favorable our schedule is.

09/01/12   vs. Clemson   Atlanta, GA
09/08/12   at Mississippi State *   Starkville, MS
09/15/12   vs. ULM   Auburn, Ala.
09/22/12   vs. LSU *   Auburn, Ala.
10/06/12   vs. Arkansas *   Auburn, Ala.
10/13/12   at Ole Miss *   Oxford, MS
10/20/12   at Vanderbilt *   Nashville, TN
10/27/12   vs. Texas A&M *   Auburn, Ala.
11/03/12   vs. New Mexico State (HC)   Auburn, Ala.
11/10/12   vs. Georgia *   Auburn, Ala.
11/17/12   vs. Alabama A&M   Auburn, Ala.
11/24/12   at Alabama *   Tuscaloosa, AL

If we can get by Clemson, I see no reason why this team shouldn't have at most two losses going into the Alabama game.

Is Prosch going to be a one year wonder?

With all the unknowns on the field and two new coordinators, I see 7 games that are up in the air at this point.

Do I think we go 5-7?  Not at all, but your prediction is awfully fucking rosy.

Agree.  The first 4 games coming out of the gate are going to be rough.

True that, and I think we'll be able to tell pretty much where the rest of the season is headed.

Based on what I've seen and heard, I think this may be a very surprising team.  It's only one week in, but Frazier seems to be catching on just fine, and throwing well.  That's a huge part of the puzzle.  I really don't think they're going to ask Frazier to win game, just not lose them.

The OL may not be dominant, but they'll be much better than last year, and the run game will be aided by the addition of real blocking TEs.

If the defense improves to just middle of the pack, we win 9 or 10.

I'm going to offer this too.  And it's just a surmise on my part.  I think Les, and the LSU program will still be in a tail spin after that BCSCG disaster, and I think many LSU folks will be on his ass hard if they stumble somewhere, because they will come out as the #1 in most polls.  They're going to be breaking in a new QB in a haphazard, grab bag offense.    I can see the real possibility of a major implosion.  If they don't, it will be a masterful coaching job by Miles IMHO.

This is all pretty spot-on in my opinion.  But there is a hell of a lot of improvement needed on the defensive side to bring it up to "middle of the pack".

I think BVG brings the attitude needed, plus we have a lot of returning experience, albeit experienced in getting shredded, but experience non the less.   They're going to be much more aggressive.  There are trade offs in everything.  We were not aggressive the last 3 years, and gave up shit loads of time consuming drives.  This defense will be more attacking, and make more plays, but will likely give up a big play from time to time too.  I still think we're going to be much better.  But, we'll have to see I guess, I just have a good feeling about it all the way around.
