I went to my polling place this morning in Cobb County, Georgia with an unfortunate sense of loss. On the way I was listening to talk radio as I customarily do every day and I heard an interview of Herman Cain. Hearing a man who's survived cancer, worked as the head of one of the Federal Reserve Banks, is an actual rocket scientist, and been in multiple layers of the business world we had someone uniquely-positioned with the common-sense and fiscal responsibility to be a leader. His name was still on the ballot. I started to vote for him anyway. What a shame that he had to drop out of the race.

Cain seems so positive, smart, affable, and down-to-earth; one can't help but like the man even if you don't agree with him 100%. Like you I'm in that 99% bracket so perhaps I'm a bit biased. He would have been so much better than the choices that we were left with on Super Tuesday.

Yeah yeah, but but, someone anonymously said he might have talked to a woman once on the phone and even sent her a text. Nevermind that she was an Atlanta business associate, there has to be more to this. Right?

I thought that I might be over the political bitterness but after hearing that interview yesterday morning, seeing Cain's name still on the ballot, then seeing that smirking, haughty Karl Rove on FoxNews last night...it was just too much; beyond the pale what the establishment and the leftist, MSM, useful idiots did to Cain.

There's no doubt in my mind that he had some sort of extra-marital relationships going on. If he didn't, he wouldn't have dropped out. He didn't want to live all that shit through the media.

You may be right; all I know is that he still denies it and he seems like someone that can be taken at his word. That accusation made against any married man is withering; my personal opinion is that he knew it was a he said/she said situation that he would loose regardless of what really happened. Whereas Gingrich had extra-marital relationships along with being accused of having an open marriage with his current wife and he doesn't seem to care that he did (or does) unless someone has the chutzpa to actually ask him about it...then he bristles; says something of a man's character in my opinion.

My problem is why was it not an issue until Cain's rise in the Presidential race. Yeah, I know the obvious answer but why the hell doesn't somebody confront these accusers and say "We're not listening to your shit until you come clean about WHY NOW?? And...who prompted you to come forward....now."
Whether the guy did or didn't knock off a little on the side makes no difference to me. Whatever. I doubt any of these guys are free of sin. But if it wasn't an issue for these women to make a stink about it before the campaigning started, it shouldn't be one now.

Wasn't brought up before he was a threat to Romney and the neocons. And hasn't been proven since. It was merely designed to get him out of Romney and Rove's way. Perry, Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich - I hope Santorum knows that he is next whether he likes it or not.

It takes front and center with the holier than thou types of conservatives. These are the conservatives that let moral issues be the sole focus of their choices. There will be no country to bitch about moral issues if the ONE stays in there. Cain was exactly what this country needed and the left performed character assassination perfectly.
