Coaches now pursuing Jameis Winston with a full court press. It's like they may know something about current players or soon to be players like Frazier and Pike. They are after Jameis something fierce now.

I hope we convinced him to switch.

Werd on the skreet is that Trotter will not stick around for his senior season. That leaves 1-1/2 quarterbacks on the roster that actually have a chance of playing, with Pike possibly enrolling in January also.

Sentence structure. Learn it. Current players was listed first. Therefore Frazier is listed first. Soon to be players was listed second therefore Pike is listed second.
-
Nice we rescinded our own self reported violations. Tha fuck?

whatever. perhaps, i needed to be clear. you make it sound as if the corches just realized our qb situation sucks. i seriously doubt the coaches are concerned about academic failures, law troubles or just wanting to leave. it is lack of skill.

I think Evan Woodberry misquoted there. Don't think we had impermissible contact with Winston this month. I think he meant Nov last year.

Woodberry is a douche basket. Fuck that fucking fuck.

reading comprehension and clicking links. learn it.
"We have imposed a 60-day period...of no off-campus contact...beginning with the off-campus contact period in November of 2011," said the letter to SEC Commissioner Mike Slive from Auburn attorney William King. "Therefore, the football staff will not be able to make off-campus contact with (Winston) until late January 2012."
That changed Sunday with the visit from Malzahn, Taylor and Luper.
following a link, dated early november of 2011, from woodberry's article...
In a letter last October to SEC Commissioner Mike Slive, Auburn attorney William King wrote that Auburn's football staff could not have off-campus contact with Winston until late January 2012. Auburn said under the SEC minimum penalties, it imposed a 60-day period of no off-campus contact -- 30 days for each violation -- beginning with the off-campus contact period this month.

Like I said people have their facts mixed up here including Evan.
Auburn self imposed themselves from having any on campus contact with Jameis Winston last year for the following dates Sept1 2010 through Oct30 2010. Also Auburn denied a request from Jameis for complimentary tickets to last year's South Carolina game on Sept 25. The self imposed ban went even further in that Auburn would not have any OFF campus contact with Jameis until November of his senior year.
It's November. It's his senior year.
Evan has his facts mixed up.

Lay off him, he was probably drunk...and driving...when he wrote that.
If there's a potential Auburn violation, he's all over it.

We don't need him, just a change in offensive philosophy. Mosley is teh titz!

Well, you guys are all about wanting potential violations being shouted from the rooftops by the media.

Auburn needs a quarterback like Jameis Winston in the worst way

Kevin Scarbinsky, Birmingham News
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - If you watched the Iron Bowl, you know Auburn has multiple issues at multiple positions as it tries to build itself back into a contender for, first things first, the state title.
If you watched the Game of the Century, the warm-up act for the Rematch of the Century, you know that championship teams can center on a player other than the one who takes the snap from center.
Alabama's best player is a running back.
LSU's biggest star is a deĀfensive back.
That said, everything you need to know about the state and maybe the fate of the Auburn football program centers on three recruiting decisions at the most important position on the field.
The Tigers hit a tape-measure grand slam with Cam Newton. They struck out swinging with Russell Wilson. And now they're trying to take another crack at Jameis Winston.
Barely 24 hours after losing the Iron Bowl for the third time in four years, and getting shredded for the second time since 2008, three Auburn coaches headed to Hueytown for an in-home visit with one of the top prep quarterbacks in the country.
Offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, running backs coach Curtis Luper and wide receivers coach Trooper Taylor spent three hours at the Winston home. That visit alone has created some serious buzz in the recruiting world.
Winston, who's also a major-league baseball prospect, has verbally committed to Florida State, but recruiting insiders such as Laura McKeeman of Fox Sports and Scout.com - who first reported the Auburn visit on Twitter after speaking to Winston - believe he's not exactly committed to the Seminoles anymore.
One reason, perhaps, is that Alabama has been blitzing the two-sport star with affection to try to change his mind. Nick Saban himself paid Winston a visit Monday. <---!!!
That may explain that crimson jacket the Alabama coach sported at Monday's BCS and Heisman stump speech/press conference. If you thought the battle for Brent Calloway was heated, imagine a recruiting war between Alabama and Auburn for a big-time quarterback in this state.
Auburn rushed out to see Winston even though the program's supposed quarterback of the future, Kiehl Frazier, is still a true freshman and another top prospect, Zeke Pike, has committed to sign with the Tigers in February.
Kevin Scarbinsky is a columnist for The Birmingham News. His column is published on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Winston has been a special player in high school, even though his career ended one game short of this week's Super Six in Tuscaloosa, and a lot of coaches think he'll be a special player at the next level. The timing is right for Auburn, which needs a major upgrade at quarterback in the worst way, whether it comes in Frazier's growth or a recruiting addition.
Forget comparing Auburn's production at quarterback from 2010 to 2011. Cam Newton vs. this field is the mismatch of the century. Auburn was more productive at the position in 2009. Chris Todd accounted for 2,496 yards of total offense that year. Barrett Trotter, Clint Moseley and Frazier combined for 2,059 yards this season.
The offensive lines and receivers had a lot to do with that gap, but one way to close the gap is with a special quarterback. Newton was beyond special. Wilson could've been. Winston has a chance to be.
Is he so special and Auburn so desperate that the Tigers failed to live up to one of their own self-imposed sanctions to pay him a visit? One of the more intriguing documents Auburn released Nov. 4 - after the NCAA ended its long investigation of the program without alleging any major violations - involved the recruitment of Winston.
Auburn admitted to two impermissible contacts with him from the April, 2010 Tiger Prowl and self-imposed a recruiting ban. As a result, according to an October 2010 letter from Auburn attorney William King to SEC Commissioner Mike Slive, Auburn said its football staff would not have off-campus contact with Winston for 60 days "from late November 2011 until January 2012."
Oops.
Is that another secondary violation? Would it matter if Winston or his family called Auburn and invited the coaches to visit?
One thing's for sure. Winston attended the Iron Bowl. What he saw in Jordan- Hare Stadium showed him that Auburn is in serious need of a quarterback just like him.
-
Maybe Frazier is going to leave with Malzahn. Just sayin'.
-
And you'll be running for President.
But I won't win, because Herman Cain will allege that I sexually molested him.

Leave it to Woodbammer to get all moist and not get his facts straight before running a story on Auburn, eventhough he's Auburn's beatwriter.
