University of Alabama freshman running back Brent Calloway was charged with marijuana possession early this morning.
Calloway was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana at 12:45 a.m. in the 900 block of Paul Bryant Drive, near Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Tuscaloosa Police Department is expected to release more information about the arrest soon.
He has been released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
Calloway, who has yet to take the field this season, was one of the state's highest-sought recruits out of Russellville.
Calloway signed with the Alabama football program in February as part of the 2011 signing class, ending his see-saw recruitment. Calloway originally gave his verbal committed to Alabama in the summer of 2009 before switching to in-state rival Auburn in the weeks leading up to National Signing Day. His last minute change of heart led him to sign with the Crimson Tide.

Saban to hand down his harshest of punishments to date:
Calloway will be suspended for the remainder of his redshirt season.

Surprised the headline didn't read "Former Auburn commitment arrested".

This just goes to show that Alabama is a class above LSU this season. More productive offense. Better defense. LSU get busted with fake weed? Bama goes out and gets the real shit.
Alabama > LSU

Not as funny as you might think. Let this turd get "processed" and wait to see what stories he will tell.

The UA Compliance Dept. will have already done due diligence and handled the issue accordingly. Nothing to see here. Move along.
