The team is made of American kids who live in Saudi Arabia. They attend private American schools there because their dads work as contractors in Saudi Arabia. Has been the case for many years.
Would you rather them not be able to play Little League? It's either play in Saudi Arabia's little league or don't play at all.

The Arab kids have good arms from throwing all those rocks, but you tell them to hit the cut-off man, and they start putting a black bag over the shortstop's head........

When I lived in Europe, our little league teams were all American kids. The teams they played for were named after their host country; Spain, Germany, Belgium, UK, etc. Each year, they played in the qualifying tournament for the LLWS - and were usually routed by the team from Saudi Arabia. One of the years, 2003 or 2004, team Saudi didn't give up a run in the entire tournament. Pretty impressive. They went on to the international final (winner goes to the LLWS) against Taiwan or Japan - teams comprised entirely of squints - and got crushed.
