Title: Iron Man
Post by: El Guapo on May 02, 2008, 08:06:35 AM
Go see this movie. First, it's funny. Second, the CGI is amazing! Third, they actually did a really good job on this flick. It's not Batman Begins or anything, that was just amazing... but even if you aren't a fan of comics, I think everyone has the possibility of enjoyment here.

My 6 year old wants to go see it badly.  Did you see anything that should stop me from taking him?

HJ it does have Robert Downey Jr. in it. You may want to keep kids away from him LOL. He doesn't have the best of reputations.

Thanks for the heads up EL G. I was hoping they'd do the movie right. The grafxs do look good in the trailers.

I'm an old Marvel head.  Looking forward to it and my 7 year old is bugging me daily to take him.

Why in the hell would you want to waste the $34 it would take to go see this movie?  I would rather have the book War and Peace read to me by Gilbert Gottfried while being burnt alive.

I'm just saying, it looks pretty horrible.  Call me old school, but just because you dump over 43 million dollars in CGi and special effects doesn't make a movie great.  It has to at least have a plot worth a shit.

Criticizing the plot without seeing the movie?
Blasphemer.
This movie is going to rule.

Come on Taylor.  Take a break from studying....smoke a couple of fat ones, grab a family sized popcorn with extra butter, a 32 ouncer and enjoy the show.

You would be willing to pay $34 to keep a hyper 6 year old sitting in one place for 2 hours in 10 20 years too.

1. You know this movie is going to blow.   2. You like Polly Shore is Dead, therefore your opinion is moot.  You still owe me two hours of my life back for making me watch that.

If you want to see a preview of a movie I think is going to kick ass, Check this shit out.

It's called entertainment. I saw it last night and I was entertained.
Saw the trailers for the HULK and the new Indiana Jones. I'll prolly be entertained by those, too.

Sorry that was stupid.
Seriously , it can't be that good. I love the comic book adaptations when they are done well. Is it really worth spending the cash to see it at the movies?

Saw it tonight down in Montgomery.   It was pretty good.  Effects made me think I was watching Transformers again.  Overall I'd give it a "B".

Great effects and had an overall coolness, but the plot was pretty predictable and weak.   Too much build up for a quick and predictable end.  Downy Jr. was good in my opinion.
