In his speech today, wonderful president actually said the following about raising taxes:
" If we do not meet our deficit reduction goals in a specific amount of time we will have to REDUCE SPENDING AS IT RELATES TO OUR TAX CODE"
In other words a tax increase is now being sold as reducing spending in Washington. In other words, this guy believes that allowing us to keep our own hard earned money is tantamount to government spending. This is some truly amazing shit.

This guy has officially surpassed Carter as the worst President in the history of our country. What a worthless piece of skat! He was back on the campaign trail today demonizing those "rich" folk for being more "fortunate" than others... They gotta pay "a little more" than the rest of us. Ummm, they already do, your highness. The top 1% already pay over 40% of the nation's income tax bill, and they certainly don't earn 40% of the nation's wages, Dumbass. And, I always love their use of the word, "fortunate"... To the Tax-icrats, life is one big fuggin' lottery, a zero-sum game where far more people lose than win. If they only understood concepts of work, responsibility, cause-and-effect and risk-reward relationships...

I actually agree with most of what you said...somewhat. The moon will eclipse the sun, it's the end of the world.

A conservative lawyer...the world truly is coming to an end.

Well, the world is supposed to end in 2012. Besides, only the ignorant would attempt to disagree with that. Facts are facts! There's no "somewhat" about it. Now, go wash your mouth out...

This rhetorical game is exactly what can be expected from a Keynesian/ Socialist Democrat who thinks that Government is the answer to everything.
These are the same folk who have been messaging increased government spending (that is slightly lower than projected government spending increases) as "spending cuts".
These are the same folk who consider tax "cuts" a "cost" that must be "paid for" rather than considering actual government spending decreases.
This is the same person who campaigned on fiscal responsibility while submitting a completely irresponsible $3.73 TRILLION budget amidst a record deficit of $1.65 TRILLION for FY 2011.
These people fully believe that the Entitlement State is good government.
And, of course, it should have come as no surprise the subtle talking points blaming everything on Bush. Expect more of that.
The Pharaoh Obama is not responsible for anything.
-
That's the biggest problem right now, Tarheel.
I wasn't around for Carter, but when I hear stories about his presidency, it sounds like he was just a dumbass.
Obama seems to be a dumbass that before he does anything, he makes sure everyone knows that Bush was the dumbass. And he's having to fix Bush's dumbass mistakes. And when his ideas don't work, he places the excuse of his own dumbassicity on Bush.
And what's worse? The people buy it. The dude is going to get reelected because America is stupid.

I truly hate being so jaded about this upcoming presidential campaign but I have to agree. The idiot electorate in this nation (especially the dumb-ass, college yutes) are starry-eyed by the Pharaoh's vacuous, emotive rhetoric...and he's really good at it.
It's going to take a candidate with a caustic, in-your-face, fact-based attitude (and a barges of money) to defeat this charlatan-in-chief.
-
I can't believe that the "Blame Bush" shit is still working, we are going on year #3 and it's still his fault. THS is right, they will buy it. It will be passed off this way by the MSM and the American electorate is too fucking stupid to realize the difference.
I don't know who the re-pugs are going to run this next time, but they need to make sure and not fuck this up. I have a bad feeling that they are going to hand this one to Obama.

^^^ THAT just happened. Well said THS.

I don't know for sure, but this "blame Bush" excuse is tired. Even the morons in the media aren't letting Barry get away with it anymore. I'm sure that we'll continue to hear it every time he tries to dodge any sort of responsibility, but it's not as accepted as it was during the 2008 campaign. I'm still waiting to see how the Re-pig-licans are going to screw this up. They're good at that.
Meanwhile...

You know the media is tired of Obama when the Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart rips his ass apart daily, similar to Bush.

That's interesting. Maybe I need to watch that show more often. I wrote him off long ago as just another Democrat media shill.

...
Pardon the vernacular; you're damn right he is dead on.
Paul Ryan and Chris Christie are who we need to run for President.
When someone speaks of the 'smartest man in the room' in terms of Congress...it's Paul Ryan.
He likes to explain the budget situation in the following way which everyone can understand; we have a household income of $46,000.00 a year but spend $75,000.00 a year on top of already having a credit card debt of $280,000.00. And the Dems want to continue spending more. It's unsustainable.
(I think he must listen to the Dave Ramsey Show...)

Some are some aren't, depends on which station you tune into.
Yes, they are good at that. 2008 anyone?
