Title: back on the left coast.
Post by: chinook on October 19, 2010, 08:07:45 PM
so...the family truckster is safely parked on kerry ct from a 12 day venture to the right coast.

things i learned or saw...

1st stop, DFW airport. i was looking but i saw no mountains towards houston.  wench, were you out of town?

2nd stop, AVL.  i wish all airports were small.  good things happen in small packages.  well, at least my wife thinks so.

3rd stop, ATL. and metro area

i don't miss chick-fil-a.
auto-part stores...no shortage of those places.

riverdale...there's actually a business named "rent-a-wheel".

the flip burger boutique...not bad, tasty krispy kreme milkshake.

six flags...i never felt so uncomfortable about getting on a roller coaster.  also, bammer nation was in full force that day.  fright fest is lame.

water towers...i forgot about those.

4th stop, OBX and places along the way.

sunrises, fishing, fly-overs (v-22 osprey) and the warm atlantic =  :vn:

camp legeune...m.c.a.s "pardon our noise" - .

south carolina may have the most car washes per capita.

burning lamps in lighthouses...what's the point?

a field of cotton...the skirt and kids have never seen such.

departure city, ORF

@ pell city, i agree.

You fuckers don't know what a good burger is if you think that is the best Atlanta has to offer.

Six Feet Under or Vortex are better by a country mile.

I had a ridiculously good burger at the Midway Pub in East ATL a couple of weeks ago.

They mix smoked pork loin in with the ground beef.  I wanted to hump the burger.

I'm no longer allowed back at the Midway Pub.

The burgers are okay.  The Krispy Kreme milkshake is where it's at.

Weekend of the KY game had a friend in from Portland and some other cats from Auburn all met up in ATL.  Hard enough to wrangle that crew.

Hug it out?
