any gamblers in here? if so what games are you looking at for the weekend? I have several that I'm looking at but have more research to do tomorrow before I bet...kinda like So Miss +14, Minn -2.5 and Pitt +3 tomorrow....but not sure yet..

I am but I try to not look till Thursday. I like to look first thing on Thursday mornings and see what if anything jumps out at me. Then go from there.

I look early in the week just to see if I see an early line out of whack before betters move it....but yeah, Thu is the day I spend the most time on it.

While I don't bet on anything Auburn or Alabama, I'd have a hard time not taking Arkansas State this weekend.

I typically don't bet AU or UA either....heart interferes with brains sometimes....but I will occasionally if the line is right....I wouldn't touch that game this weekend though....I can see AU making it ugly.....I can also see it alot closer than 31.....

I took the over on the USC-Hawaii game. I don't know why, just seemed low. I also kind of like Illinois at +12, I always thought Zook got a bad deal in Florida, IMO he's a pretty good coach.

Just saw the Auburn line is at -2. Not sure I understand what was so impressive about beating Memphis. I have a feeling this line will climb considerably for the next two days.

Ended up losing with So Miss...

and bet big on Kentucky for a winner
won on SMU
then VT fucked me on mon....
still came out ahead but not as productive as i hoped...not a bad week to start the season..

Unless bama just completely sleeps through it I think that is a good bet as well. PSU has a true freshman QB who has never been on the road. West Vance is a hell of a place to make your road debut!

It is on my sheet ...no choice. I think bama wins, something gives me a closer than the experts think type of game though.

Wow was I wrong. Just looked and the line on Auburn is down to -1. I thought for sure it would move the other way, now I feel silly for jumping on it at 2. I just find it amazing that there are that many people willing to bet on Miss St. this seems like easy money to me. It almost has me worried that I missed something.
It will be interesting to see how Miss St. looks tonight. Memphis is playing E. Carolina Sat and the line is at 13 1/2. I'm inclined to bet on E Carolina, but if Miss St. looks good against Auburn I may change my mind. On the other hand, if Auburn rolls Miss. St, the line may move quickly, and I don't want to give up more than 14.

That is correct, since then I have followed a strict rule of no betting on the hogs. However, I have decided that betting on the total is allowable in some cases. The total for the Ark Ga game Sat is at 54, and I'm thinking they hit that before the end of the 3rd quarter. The other pick I like this week is E Carolina. I don't really understand why they're getting 19 1/2 against Virginia Tech, but I'll take em. I'm kind of giving thought to betting E Car on the money line at +800, but may not be that brave.

I think my favorite pick this week is Ga over Miss St. Georgia is a pretty good football team. The two losses haven't been to chopped liver. Don't see them losing to the other dogs, even with the stupid cowbells.

Yeah Ga hurt me. Got it back on a couple Pac10 totals though. I think my favorite picks this week are the over on the aTm-OkSt game and Florida at -8. They may not beat 'bama, but I think they keep it close.

NC State made me their bitch this week after leading for the entire game they folded up camp in the last 5 minutes.
FSU eased the pain but I had a hell of a lot more confidence (money) on NCS.

I know what you mean, I am thinking about violating my rule on betting on the Hogs. I just don't see what everyone likes so much about aTm. The line opened at 8 and has moved down to 5 1/2 now. We killed them last year, and I know they are better but the hogs are better as well. Makes me think I am missing something.
I also don't understand the Auburn line. Kentucky lost to Ole Miss last week and got killed by Fla the week before. What do bettors see that makes them think Kentucky will stay within 2 touchdowns, much less one?
Might have to go with the Parlay.

Their QB is legit. The rest of the team is fair to middling.
Sounds alot like Arkansas, though the Hogs have a better group of WRs.
