The "Zone Bubble". AKA "Gun Triple". It's the spread verson of the triple option. Dive, QB Keeper, or Bubble Screen. It's not new per se, but is becoming increasingly more pervasive in spread offenses. It's one of the answers that OCs have come up with to counter how defenses are defending the Zone Read. We ran it a bit last year, but Todd wasn't a threat to run the ball. With Cam, this could become a staple play this season.

This is one of the reasons I think that Auburn will have more success in 3rd and short. Last year that's what killed us against Alabama. This year, I think we can pick up a couple of much needed 1st downs with Cam being able to run the ball and pick up 1 or 2 yards. Even if the option is played right, and Cam is being covered 1-1 by an outside linebacker...I like our chances for him to get a couple of yards.
