The following is a public service announcement:
My local beer store has been selling 30 packs of Miller High Life Light for $13 a 30 pack. 12 pack bottles for $6.99. Shit's pretty good too.

I salute the Champagne of Beers.
Great price.
Best cheap beer special I've had experience with was last summer. 30 packs of Keystone Light for $11 at Wal-Mart.

If you are a blue moon fan...try Shock Top. A bit cheaper most places, not much difference.
On the beer snob scale I had a Magic Hat # 9 the other night....very tasty, similar to Sierra Nevada I thought.
-
On my way to Wal-Mart.

Diff'rent strokes and all that, but wheat beers are awful in my opinion.

That's good stuff. Had a barrel or so of it in Naples a few weeks ago.

On my way to the beer fridge. I think I'll start early in honor of our guys sweating their balls off in the first practice of the year.

I enjoy them, I am equal oportunity.
On the cheap beer scale I have been hitting the Becks 64 trying to work on my girlish waist line. (or lack thereof)

Problem with the low cal beers is that they had to take all the alcohol out to reduce calories. Might as well be drinking O'Douls

Ok, I have made it known that I am not much of a beer drinker and would much rather drink bourbon. I do like Sam Adam's Light, Killian's Irish Red. I can drink Mich Light, Ultra and Coors Light. I have been known to stop off and get a case of Bud or Bud Light from time to time, but feel I am missing out on something.
Anyone recommend a good beer taking into consideration what I have mentioned liking?

This^^^...wait, the wheat beer part. (Damn quote function)
Also, I've yet to find any of the high gravity beers that I can stand to drink. Gots to have some taste to my beers and not just drinking it for the buzz.

Seems as though you like an american light lager. Miller Light is the best.
I used to enjoy a Molsen Light pretty good light lager

For craft beers try Dogfish Head IPA 60. Usually can be found at the local supermarket.

I love this stuff. The guy that owns the brewery is a great ambassador for the craft beer industry, as well.

I would avoid the blue moon-Hot April day-An A-day game-A stop at 17-16 for a couple of hours.
It will make you throw up at Logan's in opelika.
Other wise I love Blue moon-Hoegarden-or Celis white.

Yeah. Doesn't quite fit, I know. But you need a good, cheap, easy-drinking, standby beer for tailgates, days on the lake, etc.

I agree on the high gravs. I have tried a few but most are ales , and they aren't my favorite. The best I have had is Titan IPA on draft, 7 or 8 % alcohol. As far as cheap beer I still prefer Natural light in bottles. Pabst is pretty cheap and is highly regarded as the best macrobrew beer.
