Title: Griselda
Post by: Kaos on February 20, 2024, 10:00:07 AM
I know her story.  She was a psychopath. A blood thirsty, soulless, murderous, maniac.

She was short, squat, dumpy, moon-faced. Ugly. Like a toad.

It’s so completely wrong to watch her portrayed by built, big-titty Sofia Vergara as an object of sympathy, a woman just trying to make it in a world dominated by men, beset by sadness and self doubt.

It’s just wrong.  It’s the wrong thing to do. Nothing about Griselda Blanco deserves to be glorified or exalted. Or even humanized. This series does way too much of that.

It’s done well - except for it being 90% in Spanish which requires subtitles - but it’s an insult to the hundreds who died at her hand or command to portray the viper that was Griselda in this sympathetic light.

Striking resemblance.

They're twins. I can't tell them apart.

I really don't get the point of this series. She's being held up like some champion of womanhood. Single mom, just doing what she has to do.

The last thing in the world this lunatic needs is to be glorified.  But... I guess Scarface got the same treatment. The difference is Tony Montana was a fictitious character. This devil was real.

El Chapo was kind of glorified, too.  As were the Clintons

If she isn’t showing her chesticles, I ain’t watching.

ETA: Pablo Escobar was a topic of interest in the movie/TV realm

Not being argumentative. It’s not cool to glorify any of ‘em.

So far a side view of them a flopping.  That’s it though.

I certainly can’t tell any difference between these fine ladies. I’m sure they vaginas smell identical, as well.
