Title: Auburn's and uat's record next year.....what say you
Post by: The Prowler on April 05, 2008, 09:41:58 PM
Auburn will go (10-2) or better...they'll win the West, have a rematch against UGA, possibly they'll win that rematch, then they'll face Clemson in the Sugar Bowl....and they'll win that one, again...for a final ranking in the Top 5 (12-2) or possibly better....If better, then Auburn MIGHT get a shot at the MNC

uat will go (7-5) +/- one game...if they go (8-4) they'll be tied with LSU in the West but LSU will have the tie breaker...so they'll be third in the West, (7-5) will put them tied with Arkansas, but uat will have the tie breaker....again, they'll be third in the West.  Either scenario will have uat going to the Music City bowl ("We Bowlin' Baby, We Bowlin")...If they go (6-6) again this year, which is Highly possible, they could be shut out for Any Bowls....Or, they'll be going to the Independence Bowl....Wooooooo Raaww Taaaggghhdduhh

I'm going to do an annoying prediction thread pretty soon, but I'll throw some thoughts out real quick.

Bama goes 7-5.  Freshmen talent doesn't win you championships.  They'll provide some excitement, but the "Bama is Back!" will hold off another year.

Auburn goes 10-2 or 9-3.  I haven't decided yet.  If the offense clicks, I think we go undefeated.  However, it's a tough offense against SEC defenses.  It's all up to our QB play.

The Qb play is critical to the success of the season.

I definitely agree.  Luckily, we have two other plays: the RB play and the RT play.  Let's hope they can save us if the QB play fails.

Actually, I find that despite the QB play, it will be essential to field 11 players on each play.  I think this is the key to this next season.

You have figured out the key to winning football games, thanks for the "insider" info.

Also, if you win every quarter, you usually have a great chance to win the game.

I usually have realistic expectations for our team, but this year anything less than a SECCG appearance and BCS Bowl and I'm going to be disappointed.  I know that sounds bammer-esque, but I really thing if we can get consistency out of our QB's we'll be hard to stop on offense.  I expect us to field a top 10 – 15 defense next year as well.  I have a good feeling about this year.

I expect UAT to go 7-5, give or take a game.

Auburn 10-2, losses to Tenn, and UGA.  Win the west, beat UGA for the Conference Championship.

Bama 6-6, 7-5 at best.

Exact HJ...  Actually, I think I've heard, and agree with the notion that you win at least 92.5% of the time when you score more points than your opponent.

I'm pretty much a guru now.

I'm gonna say Auburn goes 12-1 losing to Georgia the first go-round, but then beating them for the SECCG.
These efforts are clearly not enough to go to a NC game as Ohio State is put on the guillotine yet again against some other undeserving team with "Name" appeal, like USC or Michigan.
uat goes 6-6 losing to Clemson,  Georgia, Tennessee, and us for sure, and two between Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU, and Mississippi State.

I agree bama will go 6-6.  maybe they'll get 7 wins.  But as stated earlier, freshman aren't going to bring in the wins immediately.  Bama has a tough schedule

AUBURN: 10 wins.  I got a feeling the defense is going to be sick this year.  completely dominating most teams.  i see them struggling some with UGA.  UGA has kept most talent and they are fast.  Hopefully strategy will win out, and the coaches can figure a way to beat them.  LSU will also be tough.  but i think the defense is going to earn alot of respect and credit this year.
Offense is hard to predict, just cause we have new qb, new coordinator.  But the 0-line is coming in with alot of experience.

10 Wins
