With all the negative press, let's start a thread of positive stories (from reputable news sources only please) to keep track. I'll start:

That is some 9th grade level tweetering right there.  I read a piece this morning on country singer, Trace Adkins, who spent a good bit of time with Trump on Celebrity Apprentice.  He said what you see from Trump publically is no show.  That's the way he is all the time.  That worries me because it means this type of childish crap isn't going to stop.

What is untrue about his tweets? It's not the most genteel thing I've ever seen but...

Have you heard the way people like Psycho Joe and Bloody Facelift talk about him?

Obama was a smug piece of shit who never had to defend himself against or respond to the sort of scurrilous personal attacks Trump endures daily from shitstains like these.  And yet Islaobama did bitch incessantly about Fox.

It doesn't play well with me. It doesn't play well with you. But it does play well with the MAJORITY he understands and reaches.

He isn't going to change the way he says stuff. Do I alway agree with it...no, but it's what he does. Doesn't offend me nor does it change my view on his ability to lead.  He has a big mouth, always has...always will.  It has worked for him so far.

Fine, and I sort of agree that at this point it's impossible to be shocked by the shit he does and says, but go back ten years and IMAGINE the idea of the President of the United States saying shit like this in a public forum. Not on some secretly recorded tape, saying it on the most public platform at his disposal in calculated written form. Just amazing how far we've fallen and how we've come to accept and expect this shit.

Bullshit. Go back ten years and imagine a president telling the public that he can "do what he wants. He has a pen and phone so screw you"!

The left allowed this to start. Now they bitch because Trump is using their own shit against them.
good for him. As long as the job is getting done, I don't mind him keeping the left distracted. Do i wish he would stop? Sure. But its not like he is telling the American people to screw off. I had enough of that already.

Go back 15 years and just IMAGINE the idea of a black Islamic with a dubious birth certificate and a shady education/work history being elected president.

Go back 20!years and just IMAGINE an online space where every random jackass can keep a running log of everything they eat, watch, think and do.  And notify all their "friends" on the occurrence of every fart.

It's a different world.

Try to have a broader grasp of history than just the last eight years.  Lincoln was known for acerbic barbs. Imagine him with a twitter account.  Or Teddy. Or Truman.  Or Nixon. Or billy Clinton. Or Reagan. Or any of a dozen more.  The office hasn't always been inhabited by a preening emperor who graced us with empty platitudes and sham promises. Some of our better presidents have been colorful, profane, boisterous and unconventional. The medium to allow them to instantly provide that feedback simply didn't exist.

I'm not one of your twitter goons. Take your condescending comments to someone who gives a shit about it. You didn't think obama said any of that. But he did.

Thing is, Trump shouldn't have gone after a morning show. And he damn sure shouldn't have said that chick was bleeding from a face lift.

Look, the left chases EVERYTHING Trump says which detracts from things that actually matter. And Trump tweets ANYTHING that he thinks which detracts from his actual presidency. Both need to stop. And if either were smart, they would stop attacking the little things and focus on the big things. Neither one is smart though, so we will have 4 to 8 years of this bullshit...

I'm fairly certain the hyperbole was obvious.  Someone playing semantics, splitting hairs, being a "jackass"  all apply.  Please not the use of quotations on the word "jackass."  They may have significance.

Nobody thought Obama actually said "screw you."   It was more what it was assumed that he thought as he made the comments than it was an actual quote.

It's frankly laughable to say I'm being revisionist or got egg on my face because CCTAU is saying Trump getting in a petty flame war about a news anchor's "bleeding face from the facelift" is the same as Obama saying he'd sign executive orders, as long as you pepper in a "I do what I want", and a "Screw you".

I mean, how can you blame Obama for saying he'd sign an executive order when Reagan soiled the integrity of the office when he said "It isn't so much that liberals are ignorant. It's just that they know so many things that aren't so. So they can lick the fucking shit off my taint, bitch."

Shitter's full. It's full of shit.

Can someone explain to me how (paraphrasing) "Who cares Trump said this contemptably petty and crass thing publicly, Obama once said he'd sign an executive order" logically follows if you remove the artificially injected crassness? If your point was the "screw you" was a colorful rephrasing that was not to be taken literally, what in the entire fuck was the point of bringing it up?

And to layer the idiocy of thinking there's a connection there, again Executive Orders are only bad when he did them, right? Like I said before, there's plenty of apples to apples quotes and actions from Trump. He's been drawin' fuckin' SMOKE from his pen since he's been in office (THAT was figurative, since it needs to be explained).

He fucking bragged in a press statement about:
https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2017/04/25/president-trumps-100-days-historic-accomplishments
Quote
GETTING GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE WAY: President Donald J. Trump has done more to stop the Government from interfering in the lives of Americans in his first 100 days than any other President in history.
Quote
TAKING EXECUTIVE ACTION: In office, President Trump has accomplished more in his first 100 days than any other President since Franklin Roosevelt.

President Trump will have signed 30 executive orders during his first 100 days.
President Obama signed 19 executive orders during his first 100 days.

Explain to me why the fuck Obama saying he would sign an executive order if Congress didn't cooperate belongs in this thread at all if not for the made-up additions to the quote? And explain to me why EOs are a sign of the destruction of the republic, or by any stretch of the imagination rivals the crassness of Trump's tweet, and then explain to me why Trump actually signing EOs at a record pace and then bragging it about makes you clap like brain-dead seals.

Obama's quote, however you want to interpret it, does not equal Trump's tweet about calling someone psycho Joe and saying someone else is bleeding from the face from a face lift.

Nobody's defending it per se.

Only saying 1) it's absurd for these media assholes who attack him in a direct personal manner that we've never seen before to feign outrage when he responds, 2) it plays to a segment of his bloc and keeps them energized and 3) it's a good thing Twitter didn't exist before.  I'd hate to see Lincoln with it in his hands.

Here's something positive. Trump told Joe and Mika, through Kushner in April, that he was going to run a hit piece on them through the NATIONAL ENQUIRER if they didn't apologize for saying negative things about him. Well, they didn't bow down and kiss his ring and the National Enquire ran the hit piece on them this month. Trump stated that the threat never happened and that he recently spoke with Joe...well, Joe has since stated that he has all of the messages from Trump's aides and phone records (none of those show that he has spoken to Trump recently).

He tweets a bit too much at times, but he get his point across.
Here is a fine example:

Here's something positive. Trump told Joe and Mika, through Kushner in April, that he was going to run a hit piece on them through the NATIONAL ENQUIRER if they didn't apologize for saying negative things about him. Well, they didn't bow down and kiss his ring and the National Enquire ran the hit piece on them this month. Trump stated that the threat never happened and that he recently spoke with Joe...well, Joe has since stated that he has all of the messages from Trump's aides and phone records (none of those show that he has spoken to Trump recently).
The adults are trying to have a semi-rational conversation here.  Please go back to the kids table.

Does anyone know if President Trump's middle name is Mt. Dew?  Because I'm feeling some serious deja vu.

I'm sure it was.  But it's not something POTUS should be tweeting out.  Half of his problems are self inflicted because apparently nobody on his communications team can convince him to stop tweeting.  I get that, to him, it's a way to bypass the media.  And that's not a bad idea, as long as you're sending the right messages.  Not posting bullshit like that.

Yeah.  It's a little crass. And sorta stupid.

But he once wrestled on WWE. It's not like he has some pristine history. I wish he would stop.  Lots of regular joes love it though.  Don't believe the polls.

I saw this post in the interwebs:

If Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz would have won the Presidency, they would be attacked in the media, just like President Donald J. Trump. Thing is, for years, Republicans just sat around and did nothing about it.  George W. Bush, John McCain and Mitt Romney went along with it like they were playing by the rules. Trump doesn't play by the rules. Some of his tweets might not be to everyone's taste, some may be counter productive, but it is better than not doing anything. We didn't elect Donald Trump to be the whipping boy of a biased, dishonest, liberal media. I say tweet more, hit them all back 10 X's harder. The media is going to trash us, that's what they do. But, what do they know? They colluded with Hillary and still lost. If we listened to them, heaven forbid, Hillary Clinton would be our President.. Have a safe weekend.

I think so too. Anyone remotely: 1. Tea party conservative 2. Against the grain - would be getting nailed. Bush was a damn establishment guy and got it. Although not this bad.

Do you think Cruz or Rubio could stand up to the media?

Not in the way trump does. They aren't brawlers. But I don't think they'd be pushovers like W either. Somewhere in the middle

You know that Muslim travel ban that Trump semi got through? The courts ruled that Grandparents are now considered close family and they're able to come.

Nothing says #Winning like trying to ban Grandparents.

You'd think Trump would've wanted grandparents to be able to come over legally...you know, since his grandfather immigrated from Germany (failure to do his mandatory military service and illegally left Germany by not notifing the authorities of his plan to do so).

dude.  he's opening the door for debate.  it's now your turn to engage in the conversation with rational, logical statements to agree or challenge.  snide, quip remarks on your part are not means to carry the conversation.

It was just a court ruling to expand the immigration law's definition of bona fide or close relationship to include grandparents.  Really punched Trump in the mouth with that one.  Put him on the ropes, they did.
