Or Reagan. Or any of a dozen more. The office hasn't always been inhabited by a preening emperor who graced us with empty platitudes and sham promises. Some of our better presidents have been colorful, profane, boisterous and unconventional. The medium to allow them to instantly provide that feedback simply didn't exist.
