Knew an old guy who was convinced it was going to begin when Obama was inaugurated. He supposedly keeps a .50 cal machine gun on a mount in his dining room. It's pointed toward the street. Told me he planned to defend his property until he ran out of bullets. I haven't been in there so I haven't seen it, but the guy seems serious.
When I noted that the bullets would likely destroy his property, he said he didn't care. "They" ain't gonna get it.
Since the uprising didn't happen at inauguration, his new deadline is the day Obama refuses to leave office and declares martial law -- which he expects to happen.

We have to stop focusing on race. Being black didn't cause these kids to commit this crime. Their culture and environment enabled them.

A Department of Homeland Security manager in charge of buying weapons and ammunition for the government is, on the side, running an inflammatory website that throws around gay slurs and advocates the mass murder of "whites" and the "ethnic cleansing" of "Uncle Tom race traitors," according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Ayo Kimathi, who calls himself the “Irritated Genie,†told his supervisors that the website was set up to sell concert and lecture videos.
But the report showed the site's content strayed far beyond concert promotion, warning about a coming race war. His website, “War on the Horizon,†declares, “in order for Black people to survive the 21st century, we are going to have to kill a lot of whites – more than our Christian hearts can possibly count,†the Alabama-based SPLC said in its report.
One of Kimathi’s former supervisors at DHS told SPLC’s Hatewatch that, “Everybody is the office is afraid of him,†and that his co-workers are “afraid he will come in with a gun and someday go postal.â€
The supervisor, who was not named, continued, “I am astounded he’s employed by the federal government, let alone Homeland Security.â€
Kimathi, who works for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which is a division of DHS, reportedly got the go-ahead from the government to create and maintain his website.
That’s because as a law enforcement agency employee, he is required to get permission in writing if he engages in outside activities which includes everything from working a second job to volunteering.
The SPLC says Kimathi obtained official permission but did it by misrepresenting the true nature of his site.
“He told management that it was an entertainment website selling videos of concerts and lectures,†the report said. “He called it simply WOH, never saying that WOH stood for War on the Horizon.â€
ICE spokeswoman Gillian Christensen said in a written statement that the agency “does not condone any type of hateful rhetoric or advocacy of violence of any kind against anyone.â€
It is not known what disciplinary actions, if any, will be taken against Kimathi.
“Every ICE employee is held to the highest standard of professional and ethical conduct. Accusations of misconduct are investigated thoroughly and if substantiated, appropriate actions in taken," she said.
Kimathi's site even includes President Obama, who is technically his boss, on its own enemies list.
According to the WOH website, the organization was “created for the purpose of preparing black people worldwide for an unavoidable, inevitable clash with the white race. Whites around the world are absolutely determined to exterminate Afrikan people in all corners of the earth."
The mission statement also claims to prepare blacks intellectually, spiritually, psychologically and physically for “a global clash that will mean the end of white rule on this planet or the end of the black race as we know it.â€
Calls to WOH for comment by FoxNews.com were not immediately returned.

Police in Spokane, Washington are searching for two young suspects after a World War II veteran was severely beaten in a parking lot Wednesday and later died from his injuries.
The Spokane Police Department says in a press release officers responded to reports of an assault Wednesday and found the victim in his car with serious head injuries. He later died Thursday in the hospital.
Authorities on Thursday released surveillance photos of the two suspects, who they describe as African-American males between the ages of 16 and 19.
Friends identified the victim as 88-year-old Delbert Belton, and say he was sitting outside a lodge for the Fraternal Order of the Eagles when he was attacked.
KXLY-TV reports that Belton served in the Army during World War II and was shot in the leg during the Battle for Okinawa.
"He was a tough old bird, I'll tell you that," Ted Denison, Belton's friend for 23 years told the Spokesman-Review.
The station says he went on to work for Kaiser Aluminum for 30 years. Friends say he was known as “Shorty,†and enjoyed playing pool and working on cars. His wife passed away several years ago.
"He was just such a nice person for God's sake. I don't think Shorty had a mean bone in his body," friend Betty told KXLY-TV.com.
"It does appear random. He was in the parking lot, it appears he was assaulted in the parking lot and there was no indication that he would have known these people prior to the assault," Spokane Police Major Crimes Detective Lieutenant Mark Griffiths told the station.
Denison told KXLY-TV he cannot comprehend how someone could have carried out such an attack. "I thought of him more as a dad than I did a friend really," Denison said.
"He was always there for me when I needed him," Denison said. "We'd joke back and forth. We were always having fun, some sort of fun."
"I don't understand how somebody could do this. I really don't," he told the station.
"Anybody that didn't get to know him missed out on a wonderful angel in their life," Lillian Duncan told the Spokesman-Review.
The Spokane Police Department is asking anyone with information to call their hotline at 456-2233.

The ‘Race Conversation’ Network
MSNBC has mastered the art of making unracial things racial.

‘Why do they seem so determined to also make it racial?â€
So asks Joy-Ann Reid, the managing editor of The Grio, a web magazine owned by NBC News whose mission is to “focus on news and events that have a unique interest and/or pronounced impact within the national African Americans audience.†The “they†in question are conservatives and journalists asking, among other things, why President Obama hasn’t inserted himself into a new criminal-justice case the way he did in the Trayvon Martin tragedy.
The irony-impaired Reid was asking that question about a heinous murder in Oklahoma, where, according to police, an Australian student was shot by a black youth with the help of two friends (one of whom was white) “for the fun of it.†Police allege that the bored teens spotted Christopher Lane jogging and decided to follow him and shoot him in the back.
Reid asked the question while guest-hosting a show on MSNBC, a network that has mastered the art of making unracial things racial. Just two days earlier, Reid had insisted that there’s a “neoconfederate thread†running through the gun-rights movement. Whatever that means.
Then there’s MSNBC fixture Chris Matthews, who insists, with considerable regularity, that any criticism of Barack Obama is driven by “white supremacy.†Critics of Obamacare, Matthews claims, believe that “the white race must rule.â€
Another MSNBC host, Martin Bashir, recently insisted that outrage over the ongoing scandal at the IRS is really nothing more than coded racism. The IRS is the new “N-word,†according to Bashir. “So this afternoon, we welcomed the latest phrase in the lexicon of Republican attacks on this president: the IRS. Three letters that sound so innocent but we know what you mean.â€
Lawrence O’Donnell, another MSNBC host, assured viewers during the Republican National Convention last summer that Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell’s joke about Obama’s playing too much golf was really a deliberate racist dog whistle. “These people,†O’Donnell insisted, “reach for every single possible racial double entendre they can find in every one of these speeches.â€
And that of course leaves out Al Sharpton, an MSNBC host who can best be understood as the racial equivalent of an ambulance chaser.
Against this backdrop, Reid’s asking why anyone would bring race into the discussion is a bit like a pornographer asking, “Why make this about sex?â€
But let’s get back to her question. One high-minded response might be that conservatives are bringing race into this discussion because they are simply doing what has been asked of them by Reid and countless others, including the president and the attorney general: They’re trying to have that coveted “national conversation about race.†Of course, the conversation that the conversation-mongers want is entirely one-sided; they only want to talk about why their ideological enemies are racists. Any other discussion is an incomprehensible and unjustifiable tangent distracting us from what they want to hear and say.
But the truth is, that’s not what is going on. To the extent that people are bringing up race it is to turn the tables, rhetorically at least, on people like Reid and her MSNBC colleagues for their relentless — some might say shameless and disgusting — effort to exploit the George Zimmerman murder trial.
Recall that there was no evidence Zimmerman was motivated by racial animus, a fact so inconvenient to NBC News that it unethically edited Zimmerman’s 911 call to make it sound like he was racist. (NBC later apologized and Zimmerman is rightly suing.) This inconvenient truth was also why numerous news outlets insisted on describing Zimmerman as a “white Hispanic†— to bend the facts to fit the preferred narrative.
Australian and British newspapers — which do not care about imposing a monolithic liberal narrative on race — are reporting that Lane’s alleged murderers may have been driven by motives other than boredom. But even if the initial reporting proves accurate and these thugs were just trying to break the monotony of the dog days of summer, the lesson for the MSNBC crowd should be the same.
From Obama down to his cheerleaders in the press, liberals have declared unremitting war on their ideological opponents, cynically polarizing the country along racial — and, when possible, gender — lines. They, not conservatives, have been the ones dragging race into any and every political dispute they can. This disgusting strategy has worked well for them, galvanizing minority voters and tarring the Republican brand. I don’t particularly welcome the fact that conservatives are fighting fire with fire, but you can hardly blame them given how liberals like Reid have been asking for it for so long.
This was good, however, fails to mention the racist tweets which are actual evidence of a hate crime, especially when offered in conjunction with no other motive outside of "boredom". It fails to juxtapose that with Zimmerman's countless civil services in the black community, such as organizing awareness campaigns for the black homeless man that was beaten nearly to death by white teens, or that he mentored black children, and was raised alongside black family members, or took a black girl to prom, and voted for Obama, and oh yeah...zero racist tweets.

Tempers flare in the Marigny as a Justice for Merritt rally is interrupted by protesters footsteps from the crime scene.
It has been four weeks since 33-year-old Merritt Landry was arrested for allegedly shooting 14-year-old Marshall Coulter in the head outside his home.
Neighbors say the unarmed teen was caught on camera climbing Landry’s iron fence at 2am. According to court documents Landry fired one shot after Coulter made a threatening move.
Some say he was just protecting his wife and toddler, others say the crime was racially motivated.
“Homeowners that live in this area deserve justice and tge right to protect themselves, their families and their property,†says Landry supporter Ron Evans.
“We’re not centralizing how common this situation is and that there are racial dynamics at play,†says protester Emily Danielson.
“I don’t think he was targeting anybody for any other reason, for race or anything else, I think he was protecting his family, protecting his property, †says political analysts Jeff Crouere.
Crouere believes the District Attorney will present the case to a grand jury to see if they’ll decide to drop charges.
Landry faces attempted second degree murder charges and is due back in court Friday.

(WMC-TV) - Family and friends grieve the loss of a beloved nurse. David Santucci was murdered early Monday morning while walking home on South Main in downtown Memphis.

Three suspects charged in deadly shooting on South Main
David Santucci's mother is still trying to make sense of the murder of her 27-year-old son.
"I cried and I fell to pieces, and my family is there, and they pick me up they make me better can help. I breathe in," said Darlin Fugit.
Santucci had just started his job as a floor nurse at Methodist Hospital. His co-workers called all Monday talking about him.
"He was already touching people's lives ... That he was such a caring person, and that he carried that over not only in his professionalism but his personal life," said Fugit.
The Houston High School ice hockey star was shot to death early Monday morning as he walked along South Main on the way to where he lived.
Police say Mario Patterson, Dondre Johnson and Jerrica Norflett admitted to the crime. Thirteen minutes after the shooting police arrested the trio at Foote Homes public housing just over a mile away from the scene of the crime. Investigators say Norfleet was driving the Gray Pontiac Grand Am, and Patterson and Johnson got out of the car and tried to rob Santucci.
Memphis Mayor A C Wharton says the police must step up efforts to get illegal guns out of the hands of young people.
"We have to never, never, never say we have done enough and get comfortable," said Wharton.
Fugit says her son would have forgiven his attackers.
"I honestly believe that if he were to meet these kids that did what they did to him, he would want them to know that they knew Jesus Christ," she said.
Johnson and Patterson are behind bars on murder-related charges with no bond. Jerrica Norflett was charged with accessory after the fact first degree murder and has a $750,000 bond.
Santucci's funeral is scheduled for Friday.

Some say he was just protecting his wife and toddler, others say the crime was racially motivated.

I posted in another thread. There's video that showed him and another teen casing the house all day. The other kid was waiting across the street when it happened. The deceased's own brother called him a criminal, as a defense by adding "but he's not a killer". Let alone, duh fucking shit if a kid hops your fence at 2am he's looking to rob the place, and it's more than reasonable to assume he's armed. People climbing your fence at 2 in the morning is what having guns are for.

A lawyer friend told me that if I hear a noise at 2am and open my backdoor to see a man standing there, I cannot just shoot him dead no matter what he looks like or the circumstances. I can hold my gun up. I can say freeze. I can even force him to the ground and call the police, but there's still the chance that the guy was coming to my backdoor to see if we found his dog or if we could loan him a cup of sugar.
Just walk outside and shoot? That could land me jail time.
That's the difference. Yes, it's obvious to those with common sense that this kid was going to rob this house and put the family in danger, but what evidence is there to prove that the kid was a fatal threat to the man wielding the gun? Trayon was pounding Zimmerman's head into the ground. Of course Zimmerman was going to protect himself.
Was this man protecting himself? I say so. So do you. Is there enough there for the courts to say he was protecting himself? Not as easy to do as the Trayvon scenario.

Also my understanding that the kid "made a threatening move" like he was reaching for something in his belt.

Bottom line, if you think that this guy protecting his family and his property from an obvious burglar at 2am with a gun makes him a monster, it's obvious that the racism card serves no other purpose than emotional appeal. You cannot possibly believe that he wanted to kill a black person because of racial hate. You cannot possibly believe that if the intruder was white, Hispanic, Asian, or other, he would not be dead as well. You are exposed as inserting race artificially into a situation where it is clearly irrelevant, as a trump card conduit for your real agenda. Which is a belief that any guns being used in any situation at any time for any reason should be outlawed. It's pretty obvious, and this case in particular, to me points that out.
With Trayvon, the court evidence proved that he had attacked Zimmerman and he acted in self defense. But the court of public opinion isn't so sure his life was in danger. In fact, most of the public don't even realize there was a scuffle. In either case, Zimmerman was "asking for it" by following him to begin with. While I disagree with this notion, at least that is somewhat of a reasonable notion. In no way, shape, or form was this guy doing anything wrong by protecting his house, himself, and his family. I'm not a lawyer, but I had always thought that if someone had broken and entered your property, it was game on to kill the motherfuckers under reasonable suspicion that your life is in danger, let alone your valuable property. No one's borrowing sugar at 2am on a week night through your back door in your gated back yard. No one.
Also, as for the "threatening move" the kid made, while I'm 100% on the defense's side in this, I think it's pretty obvious his lawyer advised him to say that. His word against a dead person's. Because apparently had it not been for the "threatening move", the breaking and entering with an attempt to rob him blind and possibly hurt him and his family wasn't enough to warrant shooting.

What happens if the guy makes a move at you or if he reaches in his pocket. If it's me, dude it shot. You can tell him to freeze all you want.
I guess it is different if the homeowner shoots the perp as he is trying to run away, and shoots the kid in the back. I don't think that happens here...

What if he's pointing a gun at you? What if he has a pry bar in his hand and swings it at you? What if he has a knife in his hand and stabs you? There are a lot of circumstances that allow you to shoot him in the face.

You tell them to back away from the door and off the porch. You tell said person that you can hear them just fine through the door and to state their purpose. You can even advise them that you are armed and that if they are not there for a legitimate purpose, you will defend yourself.
If they are truly in need of help, then respond accordingly without opening the door.
Ask them to provide a number and you will be happy to call their wife/friend to come pick them up if their car is out of gas.
Tell them that if they need medical attention, 9-1-1 has already been called.
Tell them that you don't lend cups of sugar at 2:00 in the fucking morning.
If they continue to attempt entry into your home, shoot the motherfucker through the door.

Which is my point. I'm not saying the guy did something wrong by shooting the kid. I'm just saying it's not as clear cut as the Trayvon case.
The court could rule that the owner of the home did not need to use fatal force. The only evidence here that it was needed was his claim that the kid looked like he was reaching for a gun.

All smart things to do. Things I would recommend to do. BUT....... It's my property. I have absolutely EVERY reason in the world to be there, whereas you do not. If I hear something on the edge of my property ANYTIME of the night, I'm going to confront the problem with a gun. If I find you on my property, Im only going to ask you once why you are there, if your answer is to quickly make a movement towards me, or quickly reach into your pocket, it will likely be your last. Because I'm scared for the safety of myself and my family.
I know the argument here is, if I'm fearful, I shouldn't go outside. But that is an invalid argument. The law doesn't require me to hide in my own house and hope the would be thief only takes my belongings and doesn't try to break into my house. The law doesn't require me to depend on whatever deputy (who might be 25 minutes away) to check on my property and keep me safe. The law doesn't require me to cower with my children in the safest room in my house until I have no other option than defend with deadly force. The law is, thats my fucking property that I pay for and it is my responsibility 1st to ensure that it is safe for my family, not the government agency that is closest to my residence.
I don't see the problem here. Actually, if more thieves were shot and killed in the commission of their crime, I think that could only be a good thing.
