Mallett Cat.....has apparently died. Sounds like he drowned in the Ocean in the Florida Gulf Coast. I was down there this past weekend and the riptides were as bad as Ive ever seen. Very sad.

Have had nearly a dozen go down in the last week or so.
No one respects those red flags.
Shame about Ryan. He was electric on the field.
-
Yeah. PCB has been full of idiots the last week.
They think because the water looks a bit more calm that the flags are wrong.
3 more this past weekend.
I was sitting on the beach Sunday by Schooners and the beach patrol runs up and pulled three out of the water while pointing at the ocean and telling them they were swimming in a riptide. It was a single red, but people still have no clue how dangerous the ocean is. They think that stuff only happens to other people.
RIP to the freakishly tall Mallet Cat!

It’s mostly people coming from 300-400 or more miles away. Often their first or second time to the gulf. It’s not the lifers like you, me, Wes, snags and many of us on here who have been seeing that water for decades and get it. Literally heard a guy arguing with the bay county sheriff Saturday that he didn’t fly all the way here from Chicago to not get in the water. Soon as the sheriff would leave, the idiots would hop back in again.
Fucking. Morons.

Less, now, is the theme, "Come for vacation, leave on probation." Here lately its been "Come for vacation, leave in a box."

HANG THE BANNER!
Bay County, Fla has hung many championship banners over the years but this is a new one.

Apparently, Mallet drowned at or near Destin.

I saw the Okaloosa SD make the statement that he drowned. And totally forgot that Destin proper (not Sandestin or Miramar) was actually in Okaloosa not Walton.

He was on Holiday Isle and the Sheriff's statement said that the flags on that beach were yellow.

Unless that thing is Green, I am always going to take caution.
"Yellow Flag: Beach Warning Flags MEDIUM HAZARD - Moderate Surf and/or Strong Currents."

Oh, preaching to the choir here.

I don't think we'll ever see a green flag again. They don't fly those in PCB any longer.
