Meh...I finally read through the thread. It's 3/4 just a bitch fest between a couple of posters. The takeaway seems to be that someone got hold of JH's pics/vids from a group chat and created a Twitter account to post them.

How so? Seems like someone broke the circle of trust and disseminated the pics/vids without permission. I haven't seen any allegations about the women (age/consent/etc), so our guy is the "victim" in this scenario based on what we know right now.

Hope that’s the case. I am only well-versed in bird law, so I will concede to you and Snags in all other areas.
It is a bad look, though. Narratives in today’s world will likely go against the successful male athlete being the victim. Even with all the facts presented in his favor.

If several players (including Jarquez) in a group chat shared this video with others - that could be an issue. I think that’s the real issue here. Not the video itself. The university’s statement was plural when it said “players” suspended. So that seems to be where this is pointed at.

Had a discussion yesterday with someone who thought this whole thing was hilarious. An AU younger guy. I never think it’s funny to lose your best player for any length of time. But this is Hugh’s first public discipline issue and it’s a pretty big one, imo.
I have no idea about the video. Unlike most of you queers, I did not want to see Jarquez’s man meat.
But if the filming was without the girls knowledge like I heard, it adds another level. I’m saying, if it was consensual, it’s better than if she did not know. Still not cool to video and then post it on the interweb. Especially as an AU representative.
When I was his age, I made tapes, too. But it was VHS and always consensual, since I was the only one in the videos.

Old news, but the University threw out a statement that suspensions were handed out while this was being investigated. This is already a somewhat ugly situation, but can get a lot worse if outrage culture mobs want to run with it; or they don't like the outcome.

Jarquez fucked up. I hope it works out but I’m definitely for punishing him. Whether the girl had anything to do with it or not.
It’s suspicious that she left her bra on and someone made money off of it.

I am speculating here, but I don't think this will end well. It truly hurts because I think he has the potential to be one of the better backs to ever come through Auburn, but it would not surprise me to see Damari Alston be RB1 this season with Jarquez trying to figure out his next move if afforded the opportunity. Here's to hoping I am wrong, which happens often.

I don't know if anybody (in the general public) knows what really happened. All I've heard is that JH and another player, maybe more, gave some girl a meat sammich. JH, or somebody else, captured the blessed event on video. That video wound up on the social medias. I'm assuming the meat sammich was on the menu, and the girl did in fact, order it. I haven't heard otherwise.
The only thing that's really at issue, from what I've heard, is whether or not she consented to the video, and/or it getting out.
So, did she know she was the star of the show?
How did the video get out? Did Jar Kwez post it? Did he send it to one or more of his homies, and one of them posted it?
So many questions, so damn it, I'm gonna' need to see this video to help get some of them answered.

From what I have heard, the locker room pics are the focus.
The sex tape was consensual, so no foul there.

I have not seen the video but I heard from one of my sources that just before the ending, Hugh Freeze enters the frame and rapes all three of them.

Ryan Brown (formerly of JOX) said in an interview Thursday that the school issuing statements was a signal to him that something was up. He did some checking and all he could say was there was a lot more coming and some of it encircles CHF.

Not disputing that in any way. Just trying to understand in what scenario U Free would be involved. I know that's a soft toss for many witty replies, so fire away. But, I have to believe he's on a VERY short leash, and any hint of impropriety would be disastrous.
I'd lose all faith in mankind, and quit watching football altogether.

I think I'd be in the same boat. I have been excited, knowing this is a man on a mission with no room for moral error. Hoping there is no involvement and this was bad info.

There’s a reason. No reputable person is gonna touch this with rumors about the current coach being involved until something is verified. If the school or anyone close to it thought that was the case, you’d already see white smoke around the coach’s office.
Most of the photos and that video were dated to last fall, pre HF.

Can't tell by this if it is going to be detrimental to our season, or if they are just stealing a play from the DNC and not addressing it publicly. With the end goal of hoping the questions and outrage will die down so it can be swept under the rug.

In an email exchange when the statement was first released, AU Executive Director of Public Affairs Jenifer Adams told the Montgomery Advertiser the situation was related to "videos that were posted on social media."
"We don't comment on individuals and their status with any disciplinary issues within our school," Freeze said at the SEC meetings at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. "I really don't have a comment on that."

I'm sure he's not. That will not stop sports media from going after him at every turn because of his past. Factor how many games this time is likely to eat dirt this fall, it's gonna be a long season. In the long run, Auburn will improve, but adjust your expectations, fam. If they get 5, that'll be something this fall.

This is where I'm at as well. And my gut is much bigger than yours.
This program won 5 games last year with maybe the worst O-line we've had in fo-evah. A raw, first time QB, who at times was playing as bad as Kadril Frayzha and Fetal Mosely ever thought about playing. No go-to receiver. And no edge rusher. Derick was my man, but he just wasn't very quick off the edge.
No excuses for losing to LSU or Miss. State. To be fair, Missouri really wasn't a win.
U Free brought in a lot of high end Group of 5 players. How will that translate to the SEC? We'll just have to wait and see. But on paper, I think this bunch is much better across the board.

7 to 9 wins is very realistic. Hew potentially replaced half of the starters, there is depth on O line and a seasoned QB.
Still some q’s because they have to prove it at the SEC level. No doubt that is a question. And glaringly, LB is also a position than I think needs a boost.
Still, 8 is my number and the over is not a terrible stretch.
Obviously, if Hugh is convicted of raping Jarquez, I’d take the under.

Culture and regime change takes time. I need to see if a team built from spare parts all over the place can congeal into a more functional Transformer than last year's GoBot. Also, factor in teams with a "head start" in front of Auburn along with the schedule, I think there are growing pains. Next year? I am on the 8-9 train fo sho.

One thing I saw on Instagram was a story he posted of the projected Heisman finalists, and him essentially telling Eugene Asante that he is gunning for it. That's at least encouraging.

This ish is still going on it appears. Team photos happened today, and #27 was training at some random gym in Flowery Branch, GA. All hope is not lost if we lose him, but obviously our chances are way better with him around. Needing all you insiders to give us some feel good vibes about it if you'd be so kind.
