So Monday is the official first day that players can jump in the Continuum Transfunctioner Thingy to look for another team. Some players are already declaring their love for all things port hole, including Auburn lineman, Keiondre Jones.
QB, Brennan Armstrong, a 3 year starter at Virginia, also said he's heading elsewhere. In 2021, the guy threw for almost 4,500 yards and 31 TD's. Just a small taste of what's about to be on the market.
I think we're all going to be paying close attention to the portal this off season, as there's no doubt we need to go all Lane Kiffin up in that bitch. I don't know what Feeze's philosophy is on it, but he's got to know we're sucking hind tit talent-wise at a lot of positions, and we need immediate help.
Putcher portal news here when you think it's of interest to Auburn....or not. Hope there's not a ton of Auburn news about players heading into that thing. But I imagine we'll have our fair share leave.

I read something on the internets about this very subject and Auburn's new HfbC Hue Freeze. We are losing some seniors too, so we will need replacements effective immediately. I'm not sure what is going on in his mind, but I hope it's more than just $25 hookers.

They raised their minimum to $35 due to the Biden economy.

Mississippi State WR, Rara Thomas, entering the port hole. 44 receptions for 626 yards and 7 TD's this year. He's from Eufaula, an hour down the road from The Planez.

Better production than any of our current guys. Would be a solid grab.

Should be an easy fix for Hue. Alls we need are a few OL, DL, WR, LB, Edge Rushers, DB and QB. Easy peasy.

Not a whole lot of OL prospects in currently that give me warm and fuzzies. All the local folk talking heads keep boasting about the NIL war chest that Auburn has handy. I sure as shit hope we know how to use it to get some steam rollers up front.

Didn't you quote some Dallenbach guy earlier this week? You miss Dax don't you?

From my understanding, players can't officially put their name in until Monday. That's new port hole entries. The ones being mentioned above have stated they plan to. So, if that's the case, hopefully, there will be a fresh batch of jumbo linemen available next week.

Thank you for the clarification and for learning me. The past 5 years (with exception to the last 4 games) have looked like a full-blown sissy fight from our fellas in the trenches. Here's to hoping for some big, mean, King Dunlap looking sons of bitches wearing the orange and blue soon.

Solidifying a commitment in the Gump today.

Speaking of the portal, Coach Prime arrived Sunday in Colorado, met with the team and told them to all jump in it. Even introduced his son to the team and told them, this is the new quarterback.
Deion may be able to attract a lot of talent, but I don't believe that shit would fly at Auburn.

It wouldn't fly in MANY places. Most folks don't like Diddy ball. I think its fine for Shadeur to be the QB next season in Colorado - but he needs to earn that spot. It should not be given to him 7-10 months ahead of time. And especially when Diddy is the new coach. I think that's a bad way to start things.
-
An honest attempt at translating Coach Prime's speech to his new team:
"Hey guys, you suck. You're a disappointment to the university & your parents. You all are some raggity-ass, low-level, Great Value branded bunch of shit stains. I am bringing some Louis Vuitton players to replace you useless pieces of garbage when I force you enter the portal. I am the greatest mother fucker that ever lived. By the way, my son gonna be y'alls QB. Alright, now let's be a team... and I dare you to ask me questions with this camera on you."

I'd say that's a pretty fair interpretation.

So far for Auburn, I've seen:
Zack Calzone
JJ Evans. That's James and Florida's boy
Ze'vian Capers
Jordan Ingram
Keiondre Jones
Zykevious Walker
That's all I've seen so far. Others? All understandable. I had high hopes for Keiondre Jones coming into the season, but he got yanked about every other series.

Would not be surprised to see Micah Riley-Ducker (duck) out and into the portal as well. I believe he has been pretty vocal about disliking the Freeze hire.

Another overhyped xfer that never panned out. Whatever will we do? Someone is gonna have to hold the team together after losing the 5th string tight end.

Pretty sure he wasn't a transfer, just a normal ass recruit.

Have we lost DeAngelo Frankenberry yet?
He has been dissatisfied all season long about his playing time.

I do not know what toadie means but I do have google software on my computer and if I find out it has anything to do with sucking cock, I will be coming back to take some ass and kick names mister mister.

Well damn. It looks like we can add these names to the list.
D’Squarius Green, Jr.
Ibrahim Moizoos
Jackmerius Tacktheratrix

you are correct sir....what GH meant to say was "early enrollee" not xfer. Kid is a bit of a testament to "mid west talent".

Not specifically a port hole move, but Marquis Burks declares for teh draffs. So far, Colby Wooden, Derick Hall and Owen Pappoe have also declared.
You know what a great evaluator of talent I am. My track record is well documented. I called Jeremy Johnson being one of the greats to play QB at Auburn. And without a doubt, he did play QB at Auburn. Never doubt me.
Colby Wooden: I can see a 3rd round pick for him. He did have a tendency to disappear at times, but when he showed up, he showed up big. A little light to be playing on the interior, especially in this league. But I think he's similar to Marlon Davidson, who played most of his career in the 280's. They packed about 20 pounds on him in the NFL.
Derick Hall: He was my dark horse player when he got to Auburn. Not a ton of hype, but he had that Takeo Spikes look about him. Came in about 220 and I thought he could put on a few and move to LB. He put on a few alright. Stayed at DE and improved each and every year. I've seen several late 1st round to early 2nd round projections on him. I think the man is gonna' get paid, and paid well.
Owen Pappoe: Most of what I've read has him projected in the 3rd round. I thought he was out of position and easily fooled on plays, but you look up, and the guy wound up with over 90 tackles. Saw a couple of write ups saying he's a little light at 220, but could beef up a few and play weak side LB.
Marquis Burks: I got nuthin'. Big, athletic guy, but didn't get a ton of playing time. Finished his career with just over 30 tackles. However, I've come to learn that pro scouts don't give a rat's patooty about stats. They look at the person physically, and athletically. They can teach you proper technique in the pros. There have been a ton of guys from Auburn that have had very nice careers, who I would have never dreamed would get the call. Neiko Torched, anyone? So, it wouldn't surprise me if he caught on with someone.

Does Eku Leota have any eligibility left? He was seemingly having a more productive year than Hall before the titty tear. Would be huge if he was able and willing to come back.

I seem to remember that he had already said he wasn't coming back though. Now, with the right DC...who knows if he would change his mind.

I am intrigued by Arnett. His defenses have been pretty stout, especially for a 3-3-5 setup.

Dude, I realize that you are usually just trying to be helpful and pass on some sports tidbits that you may have picked up in the newspaper and then other times, you are just trying to be funny. But the area code does not have anything to do with it.
That’s the stupidest thing you’ve said, lately.

Ashford will make one helluva wide receiver or cornerback. Don't you agree?

Gonna be interesting to see which DB coach among the dozen or so rises above the others.

Is he fast enough to throw to himself downfield?
Will be interesting to see how much he can improve in all seriousness. If he doesn’t have it in year 2, then having him in the slot would be pretty cool.

I remember Bill Brasky throwing the winning touchdown pass to himself in the playoffs.

hell, there’s no doubt. And I knew all along that if you were still alive that you’d be advocating his move to cornerback. In all seriousness, this time especially, I think you are spot on with this move.

Party Line: Moved to a really small town back in about 1993. I didn't have a party line, but a lot of the people there still did and it was definitely weird.
Collect Calls: Used mostly for check-ins. We all had our own codes so we could let parents and grandparents know we'd arrived somewhere or that we were coming without being forced to incur the hateful long distance rates.
"Hi this is a collect call for Robert Doubleday (double meant two or Tuesday)."
I'm sorry, Mr. Doubleday isn't available at the moment but I expect him back later
Okay operator, please tell them we'll call back about 8:30.
BAM--- They knew we'd be there Tuesday about 8:30.
Long Distance: The charges were outrageous. God help you if your girlfriend was gone to Michigan for two weeks and you promised you'd call her every night "after the rates went down." I had a friend who had this weird habit of breaking into houses, calling foreign countries (quadruple long distance!) and leaving the phone off the hook. He never got caught. I was happier just calling local numbers and asking if they had Aunt Jemimah in a 16 oz bottle and then telling them they better let her out before she suffocated. *69 killed that.
Sidebar, your honor?
I found it inconsistent that the only time there was ever anybody else on the party line on Andy Griffith was the time that guy was in a hurry to get his car fixed. The rest of the time they picked up and got connected.

Never trust anyone that has never experienced a party line.
I do not want to party with them.
And, invariably, there is one family that tries to see how long that they can stay on the phone. They paid 8 bucks a month for that phone and they were damn well going to get their moneys worth.

Seems like there is some momentum at Georgia Tech this cycle somehow, as they are in the running for a couple of notable players.

Hopefully, there will be some more QB's in the portal as these bowl games wrap up. The top 3 rated right now are the Brennan kid from Virginia, Spencer Sanders from Okie State, and Grayson McCall. McCall is out with the academics deal. I like what I've seen of Sanders. I really think U Free needs to nab one. Ashford is just too much of a project for me right now.

Hard pass on the kid from Virginia. Sanders might be a good get though.
Don't we have someone in the Sociology department that can help McCall?

I think our guy hasn't hit the portal yet. Shit, I'd be willing to take some online classes for McCall to get him on campus. 30 transferrable credit hours can be knocked out in 1 semester if ya want it bad enough.

I thought his issue was that Auburn doesn't offer his major (or grad program, as the case may be).

I thought his issue was that Auburn doesn't offer his major (or grad program, as the case may be).
I think you are correct, but he could change his major and come on down. Surely there is some overlap with other Health Science or Business majors. I am wondering if he doesn't have enough transferrable credits that Auburn can recognize and apply (60 required if my thinking is accurate).
All in all, I think the assumption that the ship has sailed for one reason or another is correct. I just hate it.

No room in this world for a creative problem solver, unfortunately. McCall might have made me a little too bullish on the 23 season.

Florida doesn’t either apparently. Starting to look like a “I’m in a shitty bogus major” situation.

Auburn offers a graduate program for his major, but not an undergrad program. Weird to me, but probably common across the country.
Alls I know is that if my dumbass can acquire a MBA, then this kid can figure it out with Auburn officials if he really wants to be here.

First, we get pictures of a no longer keen Mustang and then simp??? Damn brother!!! It’s like we are excited about the future of Auburn football again.
you need to chill with this line of thinking, Bud.
Simp, Dallas (whom everyone hates, by the way) and this Snakebite fellow and the war damn Six guy all have a space to fill. There is no doubt about that.
But Kaos and I have checked out. You do realize, right? We were freezer burned.
This leaves a void that no 4 men can fill. Nothing against the aforementioned but you are talking cray cray, mister man.
Edit: I forgot to mention the return of JMAR, which is exciting, too.
I truly wish that GF and Sani could have lived long enough to see how heartwarming this is.

Isn’t the Reed kid from Western KY entering the portal? Or is already in the portal? I’d take him on the roster.

Seeing now where Tulsa QB, Davis Brin, has entered the portal. That is probably going to be our guy, assuming there’s a good relationship with Montgomery.

Even though GH's skreetz says the Tulane QB is staying put, I'm going to hope that is just smoke screen until their bowl game is over...

6’4”, 290 lb OT Dillon Wade transfers to Auburn from Tulsa. Would like for him to throw on 15, but welcome the experience.
We might be on to something for next year. Something that resembles an above average 🏈 team.

hopefully the injury bug doesn’t enter the portal too.

The Memphis/Utah St seems somewhat interesting. At least for the purpose of watching the Memphis QB Henigan. That is if in fact he enters the port hole. If watching, the AU fan may recognize one of the RBs, Asa Martin.

The reports are that Wake WB, Sam Hartman, is jumping in the port hole. Those same reports are saying he's most likely headed to Notre Dame. A couple of things. Hartman would be a big get for anybody. But, the guy hasn't put his name in yet, so how is it that he's supposedly inking with ND? A little tampering perhaps?

Pretty sure these guys are making contact or "showing interest" before the news gets out...kind of the same deal with the Tulane QB. He hasn't put his name out there but yet he has been of interest for almost 2 weeks...
-
I think we've done okay so far with our port hole losses. To date:
Zach Calzone QB
Jordon Ingram RB
J.J. Evans WR Dy-No-Mite
Ze'Vian Caped Crusader WR
Dazalin Worcestershire WR
Keiondre Jones OL
Marquis Robinson DL
Joko Willis LB
A.D. Diamond CB
Basically no production lost. Doesn't mean a few more won't jump in, but to this point, I can live with all of these.

chinook ain't too shabby either. Apparently this guy graded leaps and bounds over anyone we had last year, or anyone that we have acquired so far this year in both run & pass blocking. Put him on the left side of the line with a mauler that we have in Wright, and Hunter will be slicing and dicing.

I’m happy for AU and for Bucky but let’s not get carried away with thinking it has too much to do with him, imo. Doug Barfield or GH could land a top ten class at Auburn, assuming they have the booster support and NIL.
NIL is a game changer for AU, I think. And it’s happening at the perfect time for Bucky.
I don’t think the Potato gang would have benefited, so maybe saying Doug and GH would have is a stretch. But you get what I mean.
I think any decent coach, even Gus, would consistently sign top 20 classes at AU, now. With on the field performance, we should consistently see top 10 classes.

I'm exited about the RB Battie because of his return game skillz. He is a legitimate threat every time he touches the ball. Also excited about this 6'-6 Mardner kid. Wow. You add him with King, Brown, Moore, etc, the WR room is perhaps tied with the RB room as most talented on the team. The DB room is by far the most talented. Lets not forget Fairweather and perhaps King at TE.
Freeze in just over a month has raised the floor and some ceilings in every single position room to a place that we haven't seen in 4/5 years. Amazing. Thing is, Freeze/Caddy/Zac are not done yet.

If opposing defense must count to 5 Mississippi, Auburn could make it to Iron Bowl.

More numbers and experience on the line. Avery Jones inks with Auburn. Started every game at center for East Carolina this year. 6'4" 290.
That's the extent of my 411 on the guy, but I love the fact that we have another O-lineman coming in with plenty of playing time, especially at center.

Part of the daily routine while dropping little princess off at daycare is to listen to Locked On Auburn on Spotify. My 2 year old even has gotten to the point of being able to recite some of the intro. to the show. It is not spectacular by any means, but gives me a daily fix on Auburn football news/speculation. This morning, they were saying a likely scenario (as expert an opinion as my own) that the line-up could look as follows:
LT: Britton
LG: Wright
C: Jones
RG: Miller
RT: Wade
On paper, a lot sexier than last year's line.

That’s a rather large young man. Between he and Jones, that’s close to 700 lbs of shit your pants for opposing centers & guards.

U got him.
That means Marcus Harris may be the only interior D-lineman under 300. At least that plays. If any of these new guys can step up and bring the pain off the edge, this might be a kick ass line.
Gawd, I hate how I talk myself into us being SEC West champs, just because we're finally getting some consistent, positive news.

Not a port hole transfer, but since we're talking new players.....
The RB room just got a little more crowded. 6' 205.
Christian Burnette, a running back/outside linebacker from Faith Academy in Mobile, AL, has announced that he will be continuing his academic and athletic career at Auburn University, per his social media.
Burnette was a standout running back at Faith, rushing for 1,205 yards (6.8 yards per carry) and 16 touchdowns. He also added on 16 receptions for 212 yards and one touchdown. He led the Rams in all-purpose yards and helped them on their way to a semifinal AHSAA playoff berth.

Dart and Sanders seem pretty apples to apples to me, with maybe Dart still having a higher ceiling. Ole Miss, by all appearances, is on the decline… and I don’t mind one bit.

Add to that they just took another portal qb a day or two before too. Lane is a weird mfer. Dart was NOT their issue last year. I’m considering lane train a disaster averted for us.

I thought he would have been a terrible fit. He is the same coach he was before taking lessons from the garden gnome up state. Good enough offense, porous defense, and shitty decision-making skills in and out of game. Considerably more inept morally than Hugh ever was, but doesn’t blast the Good News across all platforms before sourcing some “high-class” action, and has the privilege of never being seriously investigated for his misdeeds. That investigation probably would have happened had he taken the Auburn job, though.
I’m a fan of who we’ve got, what he’s done since getting the job, and the hope/excitement that he has instilled in the base.

Given the choice I agree Auburn got the better head coach. I think of Kiffin as more of a play caller much like Petrino.
Just observing the second half of the schedule it did appear that Dart was not "the guy" that could bail Ole Miss out of a deficit. Kiffin made the choice because at least IMO, I think he saw the same.
Auburn offered a better fit for Sanders and several other available QBs in the early portal all who chose to go elsewhere.
Doubtful Ashford transformed into Nick Marshall over the last few months so it's somewhat strange that we weren't able to entice at least one new veteran into the fold that "isn't afraid of competition."
The facilities, the surrounding cast with an established starting back, a few new receivers and a retooled line should have been enough with our offensive staff to add another QB.
Guess we'll just have to roll with what we got.

The facilities, the surrounding cast with an established starting back, a few new receivers and a retooled line should have been enough with our offensive staff to add another QB.
Guess we'll just have to roll with what we got.
Could be that 'ol Hue saw something in Ashford that intrigued him. That combined with the fact that the newborn giraffe has decided to go through spring practices makes him think he can wait it out and see who is available after the practices of spring are over to look elsewhere if needed.
-
I thought he would have been a terrible fit.
I’m a fan of who we’ve got, what he’s done since getting the job, and the hope/excitement that he has instilled in the base.
if the public knew half of what many of these other coaches have done or the remote direction of which their moral compasses point.......Lane may be one of the biggest offenders too. The fiasco with he and Layla has been very forgotten. Upon some research, its pretty obvious the dude is 100% morally bankrupt and always will be. Ive been vocal about 2nd chances. Almost anyone can make their peace and 180 their life after a mistake. But Kiffin is one of those that isn't defined by a singular instance of something. He has a pattern of over a decade of bad behavior.
Hes always looking for the "mistress" or the greener grass - figuratively in his career and in his personal life. And honestly as a HC in a conference this high profile, the professional side of that may be more important. The guy is always looking to the next gig...always. This goes back to USC, UT, Raiders and USC again.
All that factored into his coaching flaws - just is not worth the hype and money he receives. He is a pure play caller and overage frat boy wannabe playing the role of HC at a major sec program and you see the results. His in-game decisions are bewildering. NO...THANKS.
-
Given the choice I agree Auburn got the better head coach. I think of Kiffin as more of a play caller much like Petrino.
Just observing the second half of the schedule it did appear that Dart was not "the guy" that could bail Ole Miss out of a deficit. Kiffin made the choice because at least IMO, I think he saw the same.

I'm glad for it bc we do need a solid backup. Maybe we end up with someone similar to Ashford.

Adios to Jeremy Johnson part 2. The room gets better just with the prospect of his absence, not taking reps away from people that have actual potential to compete at the SEC level. I think Hugh wanted McCall, then shifted to wanting to exclusively work with Ashford to see how coachable he is when McCall didn’t work out. We will either get a depth piece or a potential starter in May depending on how spring looks with RA & HG, if I was a betting man.

Even though this is the Port Hole thread, it's where we're talking noobies coming to teh Planez. Great day for the good guys yesterday on two fronts. As expected, 4* RB, Jeremiah Cobb, inked with the Tigers. We also got a 2024 commitment from 4* DB, Jaylen Lewis. Next came a verbal for 2025 from a 6'6" 280 pound O-lineman. Forget his name. Malik Something or Other. Already on the radar of quite a few big dogs.
Lourde Bruce got the signature of 5* point guard, Tahaad Pettiford. Great news, but tempered just a bit. Never turn down a five star, but realize he's 5'11" 160. Corch Pearlz needs one of those things at the fair that shows a minimum height requirement to ride this ride.

Here's the dealio. What have we been harping on all season? The fact that our guards can't guard anyone with length, nor can they shoot over them. No, I'm never going to turn down a 5 star baller at any position. Damn glad to get him. But, just accept that if we don't get bigger in our back court, expect more of the same.

Not to be overlooked, is the fact that Jeremiah Cobb's teammate, Gabe Russo, signed as a Preferred Walk On. Don't even know what that means.
Russo is a punter/kicker, and listed as a 5 star All American. I'm good with that.
Now, if U Free would get off his lazy ass and sign a Long Snapper, this class might be something. Sheesh!!!

Port Hole update.
Linebackers, Kam Brown and Desmond Tisdol, are exiting stage left. Tisdol stings a little, since he was getting more playing time, and provided some depth at the position. Maybe we can grab some experience from the port hole after the Spring.

This is true about Tisdol. But he always seemed a step slow and out of position.
So I am not really sure of the impact long term.
Brown did not seem to be coming along as fast as he should have. But there was always hope.
Hate to lose the depth.

The transfer portal giveth, and the transfer portal taketh away.
The Tigers have lost two backup linebackers to the portal in the last day, with Kameron Brown and Desmond Tisdol announcing plans to enter the portal on Wednesday.
Hugh Freeze noted on Monday afternoon that linebacker was one of the deeper units on the team. Now, with two men out, the rotation gets a little tighter.
Here's an updated look at the entire room as the Tigers work through spring practice.

Opened back up today. As of this post, Brown (LB), Tisdol (LB), Dawson (WR), and M’ba (DL) are out.
I guess I could have put (BW) for “Bench Warmer” instead.

Seems to be a recurring theme in a ton of portal moves. Don't like the play time you're getting? Leave! Why should you be expected to go talk to your coach and ask them what you can do in practice to earn more playing time. That's the old way of thinking, you boomers.

Cayden Bridges
Donovan Kaufman

Thus, the "Out of the entire 2021 cruitin' class, including port holers, we now have the following left on the roster:"
Never gonna' turn down a 6'9" 345 lb OT. But realistically, his suitors right now are Mississippi State, Eastern Kentucky, Jackson State and La. Tech. But we need numbers. Big numbers on that side of the ball.

A lot of BUZZ KILLINGTON on Payton Thorne squeezing through the port hole and committing to the War Eagles. Could be just rumor, but hopefully we hear something soon either way.
If it happens, I see it as a definite upgrade, to say the least. There were times when I thought Ashford was as bad as anything Auburn had ever put on the field at QB. We're talking Kadril Frayzha, Fetal Mosely bad. Yes, a lot of that had to do with being thrown into the fire behind a shitty line in a Bryman Hatpin offense. I will admit that when Caddy took over, and got back to the basics, in a run oriented offense, RA showed a few flashes of what could be, especially with his athleticism.
But the guy is a total unknown.
Payton Thorne would bring two years of starting experience in the Big 10. In 2021, Meat Chicken State went 11-2. Thorne was:
235-389 60.4% 3,240 yards 27 TD 10 INT
MSU fell hard to 5-7 last year.
242-387 62% 2,679 yards 19 TD 11 INT
Not overwhelming stats, but solid. A little concern with the interceptions, but way more good than bad. To put it in perspective, since Cam Newton in 2010, only once has an AU quarterback thrown for 19 or more TD's. Nick Marshall threw for 20 TD's in 2014.

His addition would likely make that room a strength on this team. We just need some WR's, and I think we will be sneaky good. Good enough to have a chance against anyone not named Georgia. This year's team kind of reminds me of the pieces we had in place on the 2009 team.

Yeah, reading comprehension has pretty much gone out the window in my old age. But to be fair, the lighting in this retirement home is pathetic. And I only get to check messages between exercise and craft classes.

Kind of scary where we've been headed the last 4-5 years with this program, and how far we have to go. I was thinking about FUGA, and where Kirby Smart has taken them. Granted, he used the Saban model of recruiting....cough....buying...players, but it's all legal now, so that's water under the bridge.
FUGA had something like 17 players drafted in 22', so you thought, of course they have to rebuild, at least a little. Nope! This year, they had a ton drafted on both sides of the ball as well. But, they'll just reload. Take a quick look at business as usual at FUGA, and how U Free has had to scramble, and continues to scramble in trying to rebuild this roster.
Smart's 2023 class consisted of five 5* guys, and seventeen 4*. They dipped in the portal 4 times, and all four players were former 4*'s coming out of H.S.
U Free signed ten 4* players. The rest were 3 *, and so far, he's signed 16 players from the portal, and possibly another one today. Polar opposites.
Obviously, I'm not comparing the jobs the two coaches did. We all know Freeze's circumstances, and what he's had to do to try and get us competitive in a very short period of time. Time will tell, when we see what success he has on the field, and has had a few years to recruit the way he wants to.
What blows my mind, is where we would be had Auburn given Bryman Hatpin another year. I honestly don't know if we could have recovered this decade. He was that bad.
-

The sad part is I believed in Barney Hamilton. He talked a big game, and had been successful at his previous stops. In hindsight, I see the red flags that I ignored at the time.

I don't think anybody knew how utterly clueless this guy was about recruiting. I hate using anything FUGA as an example, but a couple of years ago, when Smart was pretty much openly dogging Dan Mullen, he said point blank, it's all about the players. If you don't get out there and bring in the talent, you have zero chance in this league.

Truth is we will never really know if it would/could have worked. Once the PTB went after him in such a public, stanky way, he shut down and just waited on that buyout check.
Is dude an egomaniac? Yep. Most HCs in P5 are.
Was he an incompetent boob? I don't think so.
Did he get pizzed once the poop hit the fan and decided to dare them to can him for nothing they could prove because he knew they had overpaid him to begin with? You betcha.

Cause and effect have gotten severely reversed on the Harsin saga. Dude had the same red flags at Boise....we just didn't want to listen. Myself included.

I tried so hard. He got me. Hastings is more full of himself than any AU coarch in my lifetime. Coarch Dye was pretty cocky at times. But coach Dye could be because he was coach Dye. Hastings is not.
Kaos was one of the first I remember warning of him. I’m a member of some secret Auburn internet places that I’m not at liberty to discuss and there were allegations and hints there, too. I thought it was a bunch of koonga boonga. I did not want to believe it.
Allen Green without the e, iirc, screwed us over. And I was saying kudos to Al for being his own man and standing up to the powers that be. Boy, that was fucking dumb of me. I thought it was time to get away from JABA.
Sometimes, the old AU is a good thing. It prevents a catastrophe like AG made with Harper.
I cannot imagine another season with him. The roster would be juco level.
I stuck with him too long and kept believing they were just out to get him. I refused to accept reality.
It reminds me a lot of when they told me that my first wife had run off with a black man.

Thank you for advocating for those that are severely color-blind like myself. My dumbass is guessing between some shades of green, red, & brown. Some blues, purples, & pinks give me trouble as well. Why else would I have married a Turkish woman?
I don’t know how to break this to you, other than to just come right out and say it.
Your wife is white.

Coach Dye hit the recruiting trail immediately and it showed. He thinned out the weaklings and unified the team. That NEVER happened with Harsin. Not before the investigation. Surely not after. And don't call him Shirley.

Still busy in the port hole. I was premature, like I was in bed this weekend, on the Mean Green OLB. But we got ink from North Texas receiver, Jyaire Short.
6'2" 218
23 catches for 628 yards and 11 TD's. That's 27 yards a catch.
This is what potato boy didn't do ^^

Watched the Val Kilmer documentary on Prime. It was pretty sad, and he is kind of strange.
Wasn't the LB from North Texas supposed to announce at some point today?

Didn't I already tell you? Pay no attention to the fact that he hasn't announced yet. Only that I said he did.
Top Secret is definitely in my top 2-3 favorite Abrahams/Zucker movies. So damn sneaky good.

It be official now. He and the 6’2” WR Shorter getting me all puf’t up in the nether regions.

Please please please don't make me re-post the list of red flags that happened BEFORE they went after him.
Cause and effect have gotten severely reversed on the Harsin saga. Dude had the same red flags at Boise....we just didn't want to listen. Myself included.
Hes an absolute narcissistic, self absorbed buffoon who never had any business at a P5 program, and he hasn't learned one damn thing since.

GH broke the news by text. Have to give credit to the news source. North Texas Mean Green Grad Transfer, Larry Nixon, chooses the good guys.
6'2" 236 OLB
Nixon appeared in 41 games over the course of four seasons for the Mean Green, collecting 245 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. In 2022, Nixon started all 14 games for UNT, racking up 105 tackles, 5.5 TFL and a sack.
This did end up happening last night. Great pickup.

Wannabe Kardashians of the Midwest. I wonder if Coach Corn still has a burning sensation when he takes a leak.

I have no idea if they're still probing the port hole. I imagine they always are. But, I sure do feel better about going to war this season. May not win 5-6 games, and an injury here or there on the O-line may derail the whole season. However, I don't think there's any question we're in a better position as far as overall talent.

Yep, those leather pants wearing whores probe all holes.

Another body on the edge, Steve Sings (6'3"/255):
Sings appeared in 25 games over the course of three seasons for the Flames, recording 48 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 7.0 sacks. He was apart of a Liberty front that finished third nationally in total sacks in 2022.

Wish we could’ve gotten the other dude, but this should be a good depth piece.

Hooks from Jackson St. commits. We got some WR options now.

Add the db from nmsu too. Although rivals is saying this is pending due to seeing if hewww accepts it. They have not gotten that confirmation yet.
He actually had better stats against Bama than anyone on our team did.

Hooks is 6’4” 205. Had 66 catches for 775 yards and lit the lamp 10 times.

Between he and Shorter, I am starting to wonder if the fans are higher on Camden Brown than the staff is. The 2 additions have showed it on the field more than we had existing on the roster.

Well, WR performance depends a lot on QB performance. So...

Truth. That also could be a 2 way street. Only one to get consistent separation was Javarious.

key word "shitrag" - because they were wrong. This commitment "acceptance" has always been pending and was never confirmed by the staff. Although it's also a rare miss by Jeffrey Lee - we will just call it the Hoke effect on him.
"Auburn is not taking a commitment from New Mexico State transfer CB Syrus Dumas at this time. He officially visited AU this week. AU does have a few scholarships still available and could seek out more help for the 2023 season if the right player is available.
On a personal note, I prefer not to make a big deal out of these issues that happen occasionally. I know our friend, Jeffrey, reported him as a commitment a few days ago but the kid was quoted as a commit and there were a couple of asst coaches/staffers that tweeted out emoji eyes and stuff to back it up in a way."

Meanwhile, can I get odds on the fifth inning of Bama - UK - for entertainment purposes, of course. Somebody bring me my 9mm, while we are at it. Imma head to the Strip.

47 year old, Joey Gatewood, is on the move again. Headed to Louisville. Projected as a tight end.
