Going to finally catch Isbell (4/15 in Panama City)You've got bands like Styx, REO Speedwagon, Imagine Dragons, Metallica, The Killers, Ozzy, Hall and Oates, Def Leppard, Journey and more touring this spring and summer and you're going to see Sage Francis?
Big Boi in a tiny (525 capacity) club in pcola on May 21
Trying to work in Sage Francis in Mobile on 4/20.
You've got bands like Styx, REO Speedwagon, Imagine Dragons, Metallica, The Killers, Ozzy, Hall and Oates, Def Leppard, Journey and more touring this spring and summer and you're going to see Sage Francis?Yes. Every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Hmmm.
Yes. Every day of the week and twice on Sunday.I was just curious.
I guess I'll flesh this answer out. I support art when I can, and I pay to be entertained sometimes.
I prioritize art over entertainment many times. The Styx crew doesn't need a fourth beach house...but supporting Sage (who owns his record label) keeps him making art and enables him to put out other artists' work to boot.
Plus Sage is FUCKING DOPE.
I was just curious. This is funny to me. I belly laugh.
People (obviously) have different tastes. I've never heard of Sage Francis. I looked up some of his stuff.
If you ask me, you left the letter "a" out in your description. Definitely not for me.
Not this guy in particular, necessarily, but I will never understand the patronage of really crappy music in the name of "art." Sometimes a buzzard carved out of a hardened turd mound is actually just a shitty buzzard.
Wes, how was the Isbell show?Still a month out.
If my schedule allows, I'll try to catch Brian Fallon here in St Louis in April. And if I'm in Chicago in August, I'll try to catch Pearl Jam at Wrigley.
Still a month out.Seen PJ 3 times now, 1992 in New Orleans, 1992 Lollapalooza, and 2016 at Wrigley. Needless to say, they changed quite a bit from when I had seen them last to the 2016 show. They made a movie for the Wrigley Shows, which is pretty cool.
Have you seen PJ before? Fantastic live act.
And, K, your taste in art continues to suck throbbing donkey rooster.
Still a month out.I don’t pretend to like something that sucks babboon chode in the name of “art.â€

I don’t pretend to like something that sucks babboon chode in the name of “art.â€So so incorrect. But you do you and keep dino rock alive.
That faux rapper Rex Slade or whatever is just horrible. That’s not art. Feigning as if it is? Pretentious. On an Emperor Has No Clothes scale. You sit around sipping $100 wine that tastes like burnt cigar butts, wearing your ascots, wringing your hands over the last plight of the poor little brown children while you snack on caviar crustinis and in a voice that sounds suspiciously like Mr Howell from Gilligans Island you jointly agree that the screeching Rex Slade nonsense is high “aahhhht†and congratulate each other on being so damn urbane and sophisticated. None of you willing to admit that the wine tastes shittier than the $8 bottle of flip flop you’re hiding under the sink, the ascot is itchy, the little brown kids can have somebody else’s money not yours, you’d rather have a pig in a blanket and the music sucks.
Pearl Jam though? I’d do that one.
So so incorrect. But you do you and keep dino rock alive.Silk smoking jacket and no ascot?

It's a decent setup honestly, $200 bills get me a lawn seat for all of those concerts. Plus Alan Jackson in May, Miranda Lambert in August and Lady Antebellum in Sept, we just aren't going to those shows as of right now. Only drawback is it will be hotter than the devils breath outside.
Only drawback is it will be hotter than the devils breath outside.Since when have you stopped being so vulgar?
What Snags said the Mega Ticket is for different venues, all of the shows I listed are at Coral Sky Amphitheatre down this way.I wrongly assumed you were going to the one in the atl. Well, shit.
