I think most of us feel we need a new AD and coach. But, we'd still like to win this year. It's a tough dilemma.
I'm convinced ol and WR play isn't good enough for Stidham to win. At least not with these long ass slow developing plays.
We need a zone read QB. We need to take the RS off the Willis kid and give him a shot. That's our only hope this season.
I'm just assuming he's a good zone read guy but really don't know.
How else could we win?
-
I believe that if our offense can score more points in every game than the other team, we stand a good chance of running the table the rest of the way.

This is one of the dumbest ideas that I have heard.
Will never work. Stay out of my thread.

Don't believe in casting off really good talent in favor of the new flavor just because we can't coach.
No saying our run game will improve just having a faster QB.
Still have to block and catch.
And not fumble.
See Chris Todd.

ok but come to me with solutions. You didn't even attempt to answer the question.
Please stay on topic. Don't provoke me.

We are still talking about a coach who subbed cam out in scoring situations.
Doesn't matter who is in there.
-
People, the concept really isn't that difficult.

People, the concept really isn't that difficult.
You need to resign.
Can't allow you to ruin any more QB talent at Auburn University.
I have a sleeve of compromising photos with you, assorted critters and Bucky the Pimp.
Good luck finding any work around humans or animals.

We don't have the coaches to execute it.

My bad WT. Got swept away in my thoughts about our coaching woes for a bit.
Anywho. I answered your question.
Coach better overall
Block
Catch
No fumbling
That's for this season. Next season we might need only to decrease untimely penalties you see.
But yeah I'm fine with Stidham.
He might be mature and resilient enough to deal with the bs.

^^^^^^^
And this of course.
This is the ðŸˆ's ass, the bottom line, the solution.
Better coaching.

Keep the same game plan as yesterday. Good mix of short and long throws. Finally threw 5-6 passes to the backs. Have to get more innovative with our running plays and by god, give Pettway a rest. No excuses. I'll say it again. Eliminate even 3 of those turnovers and that's a 52-3 game. Trust me, I'm not saying it's all good. I'm long since done with Gus. But that wasn't a half bad game plan yesterday except for riding a slowed Pettway into the turf. Get it together against Mizzou this week and see what happens. Face it, Gus is here for the foreseeable future.

The problem is, that game plan will not work against a better opponent. Why? Because you cannot ride a three wheel go cart in a NASCAR race!
And we know he won't take Pettway out.
So essentially, we are done u til Pettway gets too hurt walk!

True.
And since that Mississippi State game a couple of years ago when our offense was disected, we seem to be the easiest team to figure out no matter the opponent.
I get the we're coming right at you attitude but we must be doing something so obvious that even high school teams can know.
It really bothers me that Malzahn can't even sneak up on a Waffle House toilet.

Stidham just had one of the best days in football history on Saturday....read the creed.

I think the frustrating thing for me, besides erectile dysfunction.....wait, I mean as far as the offense goes, is that what we saw Saturday is the exact thing they should have been doing against Clemson. It's like they looked at the game film and thought, Hmmm....you know, maybe some quick passes to the backs, a few bubble screens, some underneath patterns to get the ball out the QB's hand quicker just might work.
You run that same offense (They didn't change anything from Clemson to Mercer where Pettway was concerned) against Clemson and it's probably a different outcome. As long as you don't turn it over 5 times.

Score more points than your opponent

Careful, Wiregrass doesn't tolerate that kind of shit. We may have to pull a Number 6 on him.

What's a number 6?

What's a number 6?
Well, that's where we go a-ridin' into town, a-whompin' and a-whumpin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the women folks, of course.

You spare the women?

Naw, we rape the shit out of them later at the Number 6 Dance.

^^^This. Why could t any of the rest of you add some intelligent insight like this to this thread.
Instead, it comes from one of the least likely sources.

Well, technically you could also win by holding your opponent to less points than you have. It's a bit of a different concept and not one for the weak minded.
